I've sat almost everywhere.
Cat 1 is nice for more than 2 people. I've done the 2-person front row, center, and it is way too close for my taste. You're right on top of the stage looking up. The other 2-people seating I had was off to the right, by the piano. Didn't care for that. I'd rather be in Cat 3 than either of those.
Cat 2 is fine, but I'd still rather be in Cat 3, closer up than in Cat 2 way in the back.
If they don't have enough people to fill the seats, they'll move you from Cat 3 to Cat 2. The last time I booked 2 of us, I booked us in Cat 3 and we ended up sitting all the way in the back in Cat 2. Bummer.
The problem with Cat 3 is that there are poles up there, so you're seated by one, you have to position yourself so that you can see around it. It isn't that big a deal, but they're there. Still, I'd rather have 3 than 2.
However, wherever you are, whatever you're near, you're close enough.
It's a good show.
