Hi all we are finally going to see the HDDR this upcoming trip. I have a few questions.

1)We are going with my DH's grandparents. Since we are on the dining plan we booked Cat 2. Does anyone know if the theater has an elevator to get up to the balcony? Or are the stairs minor? I am thinking we would like the balcony view and we are shall we say a more "shy" family and want to watch but not participate in the show. Can someone recommend a request we should put for seating. Is it first show up seating or when I booked at Cat 2 it was booked by first come first available. Would love to know how they seat people.

2) We booked this on the second night of our trip. Due to the ages of his DGrands we are a bit nervous that some health issues could come up and they won't make the trip. If that happens and we have to have them not show up at the HDDR what will happen to their tickets? Since we are on the dining plan will we just loose the two credits or will we be charged on the credit card? I am hoping that we would know well before 48 out but there is always that possibility that they cant come on the day we leave. I would rebook the HDDR but it really works best to do this on our second day. Plust this is the week of Thanksgiving so we are probably out of luck now anyway to change reservations.


3) We are staying at BLT and want to take the boat from the Contp over to Pioneer hall. Will that work? How long should I allow for that trip. Is it a long walk to the theater from the boat dock?

. . . no elevator, just steps, which can be tough on some older people
. . . if parents are handicapped, they MUST sit in Cat-1 and pay for it
. . . you cannot request seating, it is based upon the order of the ressie
. . . this goes for everyone
. . . if asked to participate, just gently wave off the performer
. . . your seat is assigned 8-days before the show, based upon ressie date

. . . but, the walk from the boat to Pioneer Hall could be tough on the parents
. . . it is uphilll and about 10-15 minute if walking slowly
. . . the bus might work
. . . but, there is still a 5-minute walk from bus to Pioneer Hall
