Hoop De Doo or Whispering Canyon

I have ressies for Whispering Canyon. My mom suggested HDDR. Which would you recommend??? I have been to HDDR but not WC.

HDD is a dinner show with a set menu and a very popular and good stage show. Whispering is a restaurant. The service personnel do a few things that can be called entertainment but if you want a show HDD is the choice.

We are doing both this year. Staying at WL this year so like to try out stuff in and around the resort. DH did HDDR when he was younger with his DM and DF. He really enjoyed it and wanted to take our kids this year.

They are both must-dos! Drop something else. Or better yet, eat at WD for breakfast (which we like better than dinner, though both are good), and have dinner at the HDDR.

Another vote for HDDR, this is where we start every trip. Good food, but it is really the show that keeps us going back!

I've done both and recommend HDDR first. You can always come back and eat at WCC.

last year we did both but weve done hddr two years in a row and we loved it! we are not going back this year trying something new( hopefully we wont regret it) but i would so suggest hddr! As to Wc it was okay we didnt have great seating to enjoy the astmosphere and a service was just okay ( i think she was new) but the food is very simliar to hddr! hands down if you had to choose i would pick HDDr!

WCC is just a restaurant. SOME of the waitstaff play around with the guests but it's not a show and it's not guaranteed that your waiter will participate at all in the antics.

HDDR is a dinner show.

Depends on how much time you want to invest and what kind of experience you want.

We loved Whispering Canyon! It was unexpectedly one of the highlights of our trip. Our server and the staff the night we dined were amazing. We will never forget our dinner there.
We did not do Hoop, but chose the Luau at the Poly instead. That was terrific. I love looking at the pictures of my DD onstage learning the hoola! If you have the means, try to do WC and a dinner show.

I am going to WDW in August and we are eating at both..The HDDR was my number one pick to jump start our vacation..the night we check in. We are going to do Whispering Canyon for breakfast the next morning for my son's birthday..I have read the antics are cute...

but to answer your question I would choose The HDDR over WC but if you can try both.

if you are looking for more of a plain old, fun restaurant, go with wc. if you want a fun dinner show, then have hddr! They both have a fun atmosphere and yummy food!

HDD is a must-do. No, not every visit. Not even every 4th visit. But a definite must-do. Its a great show (with only OK food) and you are guaranteed to come out of there singing.

It's a 2 hour SHOW that you'll wonder where the time went!! Was just a BLAST. Ribs were good, chicken was good, smashed taters were good, corn bread was awesome, didnt have any beans, includes beer, wine and sangria in the price (wierd having a merlot in a mason jar).
