Hoop De Doo or Spirit of Aloha?

Looking for a fun dining experience for my family next time we go. DS will be 15 and DD will be 11, plus DH and myself. Would you suggest Hoop de Doo or Spirit of Aloha, and why? Thanks so much for your feedback!

Hoop Dee Doo! Its so much fun, and the food is really good!!

I have not been to the Spirit of Aloha so I can not compare. It gets mixed reviews.
We have, however, been to the HDDR several times and we love it.
The food is good "Down Home Cooking" and there is all you can eat, as well as unlimited Beer, Wine and Sangria. The show is high energy with lots of singing, dancing and audience participation. It is full of corny jokes.
I have been with preschoolers, school age and teens and adults only and each time we have had a blast.

HDDR is the hands down favorite for most, us included. There are a bunch of threads asking this, just search it and you'll get your answer.

We've done both, and our choice would definitely be HDDR. Not that SOA was bad, we just had more fun and enjoyed the food more at HDDR.

SOA was nice but HDDR is definitely a lot more fun. The food is great and the entertainment can't be beat. HDDR is a must for us on just about every trip

Last year, we told our daughter that she could choose anywhere to go for a graduation trip. She chose Disney World (even though we have been many times) as long as we would take her to HDDR ! We've been 4 or 5 times now and still love it. Ask for Nancy - she is an awesome waitress !!

We've done both. If you can only choose one, HDDR is, without a doubt, the best! It's corny humor and the food was good, the drinks filled frequently. We've gone several times now and my family asks to go back each trip (we are me, DH, DD17 and DS14)

SoA was good, particularly the second half and the fire dancer was awesome! The food wasn't quite as good as HDDR, but he salad and veggies were delish. SoA can get cancelled because of weather (although the tables are all under cover, the performers perform in the open).

I prefer the HDDR, but I also like the SOA. We are doing both on this trip! 4 weeks and counting....................

i really enjoyed SOA last time i was there. i thought it was alot of fun but i have not been to the other so can't really compare

HDDR is a much better show, IMHO. Food at both was really good. Not fine dining but a decent variety, very filling and a full meal (salad, entree, vegs, desserts).

We have done HDDR 2 times and I am sure that DH will be very sad we are not doing it again in december because I want to try something different.
