We are going for a short trip in September and we are trying to decide if Hoop de Doo is worth 2 TS credits. We will be travelling with our DD13 and DS10. I keep hearing the food is not that great, and we do not drink, so wondering if we would be better off trying 2 different places. However, we have never been there and it seems like a great time to try it. Any advice would be appreciated.

I do definitely think it's worth seeing, at least once. And the food isn't bad, really it's not, and the last time we went our jaws literally ached from grinning so much.

I recommend it.

I read a lot of reviews over at allears.net about this show. I remember going to it when I was a kid and I loved it then. Based on what I read, we're going to do this on our upcoming trip. I'm expecting the food to be on par with the Canyon Skillet at Whispering Canyon as far as taste and quality. I'd say, do it! You'll never know until you actually try it!

Over the years, I have done it multiple times. Everyone should go at least once. It's fun and the food is good. Gotta love the strawberry short cake.:hyper:

Love it love it love it. I have taken kids and adults of ALL AGES...seriously, from 4 year olds to 70 year olds and all ranges in between...everyone loves it and begs to return. The food is decent, definitely not BAD or inedible!!! In fact, I love the corn bread and the chicken! It is a really fun time!

I agree with a pp...everyone should do it at least once. My DH and I had super fun time, while my teenage DS thought it was boring

Talk me into this do they have beer unlimited? and whats the food chioces thanks folks .

Nope on the bottomless beer. But some of the women in the show were pretty cute... There is a bar in fort wilderness that you can walk to before the show to tie one on.

Ok, you knew there would be one..... sorry.....

We saw this show a couple of years ago and did not feel that it was worth the 2TS charge at all. We felt that there are so many other entertainment options at Disney that are already included with your park tickets that this really was both a waste of our time and credits.

The food was less than stellar, and the show was silly and just OK. I think we would have enjoyed it more in a non-Disney setting. We were just itching to get out of there and back to the parks.

We have no plans of ever returning.

Yes, the beer is unlimited. I wouldn't expect to get all liquored up or anything, but they'll bring you more if you ask for it.

I'd definitely recommend it. Was it the very best meal I had in WDW? No. Was it tasty? Yes! Plus, the show is good, homestyle fun, which me and DH love!

If you haven't been to Hoop-Dee-Do before, you really owe it to yourselves to do so. It sooo much fun, especially if it is packed!

As far as the food goes, I would would call it above average, and I was actually pleasantly surprised the first time I went. I really enjoyed it, and I can almost taste the chicken just thinking about it.

We've since been 3 more times. It's great to let loose. I always worry that I'll be picked for one of the audience participation skits. You veterans can probably guess which part. :)

One of the great memories we have is when it is all over, and all the guests are leaving, we are all still humming and singing the songs from the show, out the door and into the night.

Anyhow, DW and I would give it a total of four big thumbs up!

My Dh WAS picked as one of the audience participants - he's 6'5" and about 280 so you veterans can imagine how pretty in pink he was. I laughed so hard I was tearing up and could barely hold the camera to take a picture. Luckily, the CMs took one for me since the tears in my eyes kept me from focussing!! This was on an impromtu 10th anniversary trip - we still talk about it, 8 years later!!:rotfl:

We took our daughter and my niece when they were 7 years old-they loved everything and watching them enjoy it was priceless-I agree, everyone should go at least once. :)

Since we're talking food, I'll chime back in and say that I think the food is average at best, and sometimes it is below average. But the the HoopDeDoo isn't about the food!

well, almost. All the Bud Light you care to drink. And if you have to ask for more, Dallas ain't your server. Kept everything full. And if you're on property, the bus ride home means you don't have to count them beers.

Thank you so much for all of the opinions. I think I am convinced we should try it, but my husband is still on the fence. I figure we should try all that Disney has to offer!
