Hi all - I've asked this before but looking for most recent experiences about Hoop De Doo Review bookings.

In the past, we've been able to use our Deluxe Disney Dining Plan credits for Category 1 8:30pm show (this does not apply to the earlier shows where you could only book category 2 or 3, this is only 8:30pm). I've seen conflicting information online if this is still do-able. Some things say that, yes, this is still doable. Others say no, only Cat 2 or 3 for ALL shows.

Called the dining # and they weren't any help - just read me back what the website said.

Anyone recently have any luck booking and holding their reservations with dining plan credits for Category 1 for the 8:30pm show?

My ADRs open up tomorrow and trying to book this correctly to save the hassle.

Yes it is still the case, Cat 1 is available at the 8:30pm show. We have an upcoming trip and that is what we booked, and comfirmed by CM.

We did Cat 1 for the 8:30 with the plan 2 years ago. It was great - we were in the front row.

Question answered this AM. I was able to book Cat 1 for 8:30 using dining plan to reserve.

Yes I did for my trip in August. I was so excited I didn't know I could with the dining plan and was going to pay for it and the CM told me if I did the 8:30 show I could get tier 1. Hoping and praying we get to go!

Well I only went one other time like 2007 I think. I had cat 2, it was on the floor but towards the back behind a pole. We had 8, 4 kids and 4 adults we let the kids sit towards the middle. While it wasn't totally bad I don't want to get stuck behind a pole again. Cat 3 is balcony sides mostly and would prefer to be on the lower level. I think with 2 or three there is a chance to be on the balcony or just all the way back, so for me I just want to be up front this time.

Have not been to HOOP DE DOO in years. What is the difference between Cat1,2 and 3?

Cat 1 is all the seating closest to the stage on the ground level. Cat 2 has seating at the back of the dining hall and along the edges, and the balconly facing the stage. Cat 3 is the sides of the dining hall balcony and the obstructed views.

I just booked Category 1 at the 8:30 show for a night in mid September with the dining plan earlier this week

I guess I am just feeling a bit doom-and-gloomy today, but thought it may be worth pointing out that with requirements to space tables apart, who knows if Cat 2 will still have any tables on the ground level or if they will be limited to balcony to make room for more Cat 1 tables.... And given how tight the space is, I wouldn't be surprised if this is one of the experiences that is going to be cut altogether for a while after reopening.
