Hi. I am so excited about our trip in June:bounce: We are staying Poly GVC. I still can't believe I did the upgrade! But anyway, now I am thinking that I would like to spend more time at the Poly. We are there only 5 nights. Should we cancel the hdd and eat at the Poly that night? I know the review is expensive, about $150 for 2a 2dd's. I'm sort of leaning on canceling so we can do more 'things'. what do you think?

I would keep your PS. We did the HDD for the first time this past Dec. and just loved it. The food & show were great, it was a very fun evening. Your whole family will really have a great time.

Keep it! The HDD is a great evening with lots of good food and lots of laughs.

HDDR is a great family dinner show,we do it on each visit, going again on 12/5.If you do cancel be sure to keep the number they give you in case of mix up and your CC is charged. For full refund you need to cancel at least 48 hours in advance.::yes:: :wave2:

My recently commented that Hoop-Dee Doo was one of the highlights of our April trip. I vote for keeping your PS.

My DD's are 5 & 7.

Thanks for all your input:teeth: HDDR seems to get great reviews but I'm still hesitant. Deep down in my heart, I think I'm still on a value budget:crazy:

I think 4 and 7 is great ages for HDR, you will be a convert after staying at the pOLY concierge, Values will be a thing of the past :D

Okay, I'll play devil's advocate. :p

I'm sure you would have a great time at HDD, and I'm also sure you'd think it was well worth the money after you've gone - I can't recall ever hearing anyone say it wasn't worth doing. However, we can all only do so much on our WDW trips, no one can do it all! We have to pick and choose where we want to spend our time as well as our money. You seen to be very excited about staying at the Poly, and I would be too. ::yes:: I've never stayed there, but we spent a non-park afternoon there last trip having lunch and looking around. We could have a perfectly happy vacation just staying at the Poly, there's so much to do right there. If you only have 5 nights there, I can definitely understand why you wouldn't want to take an entire evening away to do something else. It's time you could be enjoying at the resort.

I suggest weighing all the factors and deciding what is best for your family. No matter what you decide to do, I'm sure you'll have a fantastic WDW vacation!

Keep it, keep it, keep it! We just got back from 10 of the most perfect magical days ever and the HDDR was one of our biggest highlights.

We laughed so hard we cried and the kids were just cracking up the whole time. The food isn't overly exciting but it's worth it for just the show (oh, and some free wine and beer too:smooth: )

There were eight of us and the kids ages are 8,7,5 &3. It was soooo worth it to us!:teeth:

Hello!

The two "kids" in this house (ages 36 and 33) recommend that you keep this Ressie.

The HDD is on the top ten list at our house for tunes whistled in the shower.

Whichever you decide is best for you-Enjoy!

Each trip to WDW includes a HDD dinner show for our family. It is very good and I am sure you will enjoy it, too!:wave2:

I would keep the PS for Hoop Dee Doo. It's a fun show and we really enjoy the food. We've had lots of fun and laughs every time we've been to the HDD. Enjoy!

Keep your reservation! My kids were 5 & 7 their first trip and they remember HDDR best of all. My son, 5 at the time, still sings the songs and tells the jokes 2.5 years later.

BTW, I was 5 my first trip, and what do I remember? The lobby of the Poly, IASW 5,000 times, being scared to death by Captain Hook, and most of all...playing the washboard at HDDR!:sunny:

It IS on the pricey side, but IMO, one of the very best VALUES in all WDW. Memories, priceless!

The HDD is fabulous! I come from a family of 7, we all have diverse tastes and interests, but we all agree on this one-- we NEVER miss HDD when we go to WDW. We go at least every 2 years, I'm 29, you do the math! BTW, did I mention we have a PS for HDD in June?

Woo-hoo!

MY kids 5 and 2 1/2 loved the hoop dee doo, the 5 yr old was cracking up the whole time.
