Hoop de doo 1st night???

I have a Longgggg time to plan since we won't be going until Dec. 2008 , but I can't resist to start thinking about it. It will be me, DH & my 9 & 5 yr old sons. we hopefully will be taking an early morning flight from Boston to Orlando and will be staying at the Poly.

so here is my dilema: should we have a relaxing day around the hotel for the 1st day then go over to Ft. Wilderness and go to the Hoop de doo for dinner or should we save it for another day?

Also how far in advance can I book the HDD so we can have a good table?

180 days out. We are also doing the Hoop Dee Doo on our first night, Sept 28th. Its the first time and I am sure we are going to have a blast.

DH and I did HDDR on our first night of our last trip. We think it was a great way to start off our vacation!! We spent the day around the resort (POR) then drove to the TCC, took the Ferry to MK, and then took the launch to FW for the 7:15 HDDR. Our timing was terrific because we were able to see Wishes from the launch to FW on the way there!!

Lduane, it's a family tradition that on our first night at WDW we have dinner at the 7:15 HDDR. We think it's a great way to kickoff our WDW holiday!!!

Thanks for all of your input. I think I will jot down on my weekly calendar that HDD will be our first nights dinner.

I thought I read somewhere on the disboards sight that you could book HDD up to 2 years in advance. only HDD not any other reservations. I could be wrong
