We were thinking about doing HDDMR on our next trip. It is just my Dsis13 and I (21-finally able to drink in the US!!)

I am trying to decide which category seating is the best. We are paying OOP but since its only the two of us the price difference would only be $10 or $20. I am more concerned with the view. Is it better to be on the balcony? Or can you still see well if you end up in the back on the main level??

Lastly, what does everyone think about the show/food?? Will the two of us even enjoy it?? :confused3

We sat in Cat 2 in the back of the theater and it was a good view. We love the show and have gone several times. The food is great! My family loves it. The actors/actresses walk around the theater and interact so in my opinion there is not a bad seat in the house.

I prefer cat 1, sitting right up front. But I've sat cat 3 and it was fine. Cat 2 is good too. The theater just isn't that big. And the performers go out in the audience including the balcony.

I think you will love the Hoop Dee Doo. It is a great show and lots of fun. The food is good "down home cooking". The show is great with lots of singing, dancing and corny jokes. There is also lots of audience participation.
We have always sat in Cat 1, so I can't speak to the others. We are going again in 2 weeks and I again decided I wanted Cat 1 seating
Have a Great time

1) Better seats ALWAYS cost more - Broadway or HDDR.
2) Regardless of what people say.
3) Repeat, regardless of what people say.
4) Categories
. . . Cat-1, floor level and back to 2/3 of house
. . . Cat-2, back 2/3 of house to rear of room and some balcony, some blocked by posts.
. . . Cat-3, all balcony, 1/2 of table cranks neck, some views blocked by posts

NOTE: HDDR tables in each category are assigned by the date of the ressie. Earlier ressies get the better tables. The exception are tables #044 and #045 which are kept open until show-day for last minute handicapped guests. Table numbers are identified as 044 = floor-level, fourth-row-from-front, fourth-table-from-left.

We just did HDDR on Sat. We were in the 2nd row and it was awesome. IMHO you do this for the show. The food was good but nothing to write home about. The included drinks were nice too :)
