Is this a good fun for DD 15 and DS 13? Friends think its a great night and we have never tried it. Its about $200 for the 4 of us.

It would depend on your dd's. If they are up for corny jokes and singing/dancing, they'll love it. We went this past december and had an absolute blast. We went w/my sister's family and my mother and father. Everyone had a great time, and everyone thought the food was great. There were people of all ages there and everyone seemed to have a fun time. For us, it was worth the money.

Agreed! The jokes are corny, but, for our family, we love it! :)

We've never been before but we are going in June. I've heard it's a lot of fun and that you have to have an open mind and not take it too seriously. Annmarie

We were there on May 13th (Me, DH. DS (10), DD(8). We had a blast! DS snickered at all of the jokes thinking they were quite funny and DD laughed out loud. DH thought the chicken was the best he's ever had. And they put a spotlight on me for my b-day! Overall I would recommend it even though it is pricey.

We booked the Hoop Dee Doo for our Feb trip. Thanks everyone for the feedback. Our friends told us last night this is a must do if you have never seen it before.

We went for the first time on May 16th and had a wonderful time. The food was GREAT and the show was lively and we enjoyed the corny jokes.

Agreed. Dinner show with corny jokes, fried chicken, beans, strawberry shortcake, ribs.
If that sounds fun to you, then you'll love it. We love it so much, we go every time we visit.

I don't want to give it away, but last visit with my side of the family(grand gatherings) he was picked for the last part. For everyone who's seen the show, you know what character that is! My dad is a large man and he looked unbelievable in his costume! We have it all on video. Ahh the memories.

We went in February also, my DD is 11 and she loved it. Especially playing the washboard with her spoon! We are planning a trip with our Girl Scouts for next year and she mentioned taking them to the HHD, so I know she really enjoyed it, she wants to share it with her sister scouts.

BTW, the best chicken I have ever had!

My dad has been chosen twice =) They always pick the old fat guy, LOL! ;)

OP, we went again about 2 weeks ago and loved it just as much as the previous visits - you'll love it!

We added two more people today now we have 6 people going to Hoop Dee Doo. Sounds like a great dinner show.

I'm not sure how DS (19) will re-act to Hoop Dee Doo but I'm looking forward to it. THe family we are going with told us this dinner show is one that they never miss when they go to WDW. Annmarie

We just got back and it was a blast. Keep in mind, if you are using the Dinning plan, you can apply two credits for one person's admission. This might lessen the cost a bit.
