Hello , so we have never done this dinner show before .. we have been there quite a few times and are trying to do things that we haven't done before . I got on to make reservations the very first day I could . Using the Disney dining plan I asked for the 4 PM show . We can only be in tier 2 .. We have an 8:30 AM Be our Guest quick service .. and I thought after the 4 PM show we could back to the hotel . We have another day that week we will go to the Magic Kingdom a couple hours before our Christmas party tickets . Now the only problem is that the parade is at 3 PM , so in order to see that on our first Magic Kingdom day I would actually have to switch to the 6 PM show , but then I'm afraid our seats will be worse . What would you do ?

I wasn't really thinking about doing the parade on the Christmas party day because we will already see parades and we have a 2 PM liberty tree reservation ..

Thank you for anybody who wants to give any input ..
Kerry

It's almost hard not to get a good seat in HDDR. Some of the show comes out into the dining hall as well so it's not like you are so far away from what is happening. Also, you are not eating while the show is going on. You have your salad/bread with a mild pre-show. Then part of the show. You eat and before and after dessert, the show continues.
Personally, I'd probably skip the parade do the HDDR at 4 but that's just me.

What do you plan on using for transportation? Your own car? Disney? Uber/taxi?

if you stick around for FoF, I would suggest just staying at MK until it's time to head to Hoop, then head back to the resort after dinner to relax and get ready for the nest day. It's what I would do, but we're not one of those families who NEEDS a mid day break if we shut it down in the early evening.

My family loves hoop dee doo and we do the 8:30 show so we can sit in the tier 1 seats. I find that preferable to being so far from the stage.

The Disney reservation people are so friendly, I think if you do want to change to the 6pm show just call and see what is available

Seating within the tier you choose is based on order of reservation. If you are a long way out and switch to the 6pm you should be fine.

We are also going on Sunday and got tier one but only 4pm was open. So we are obviously skipping the parade at MK. Hoop was one of my top priority events so it was ok with me. We'll be trying for the parade on our other MK day.
