Has anyone had one of these? Is it worth the $$? I found a coupon and I could get an 8 lb ham for $43! At the grocery store I could get one for $10. Are they worth it?

Thanks

Definitely the best ham we have ever had. We have tried hams from other grocery stores and online,& tried cooking our own, Honeybaked was best by far.

I ordered a honey baked ham a few years ago and was not impressed. The ham was not frozen when it arrived. I called the company and they said I could re-freeze it as long as I used it within a month. I decided to serve it at a dinner a few weeks later. The ham was very fatty. I won't buy from them again. Next time I'll purchase the $10 ham from my grocery store.

I've had great luck with the Carando hams. they are in the grocery store and a little more expensive than some other hams. Definitely cheaper than the honeybaked hams though

Honey Baked Hams are SSOOOO worth the $$. We get one for every holiday.

It is the only ham I will eat. It you can afford the price it is so worth it.

I have NEVER had a fatty ham from Honeybaked, quite the opposite.

This is the ONLY ham that I will buy, well worth the money. Their turkey breast is awesome too!

Honeybaked Hams are a Christmas tradition in our family. I couldn't imagine Christmas without it.

I totally agree:thumbsup2

Best I've ever eaten. We tried a Paula Deen Smithfield last night and it was really good but NOT Honeybaked. I paid about $12 less for the Smithfield and it was about $12 less good on a normally $45 ham.

eta: I have NEVER had a Honeybaked that was the least bit 'fatty' -au contraire, they are normally lean and really smooth. We get one about 4 times a year.

Honey-baked ham is.so.worth.it. My mom is a 'just get a cure 81 from the grocery store' kinda woman. I got a honey baked ham for Thanksgiving while they were here. It was the first time they'd had one. My dad told mom that he's never eating a Cure 81 for a major holiday again. ;)

I have seen fat. It was at the bone and a very small amount, like under an ounce.

I love Honey Baked Ham. I much prefer to get them from the Honey Baked stroe versus ordering on line. When you order it, it comes frozen and seems to lose something. I agree they are pricey, but it is a special treat and you will use every ounce!

I love the HOneybaked Hams , We get them sometimes just for a dinner. We get them for every holiday and they are always good. We have a Honey Baked Ham in Arlington though so we always get them fresh from the store . So YUMMY I cant wait for Christmas. NOW for a big tip from my DH " Pick it up early or you will stand in the 3 hour line that wraps around the store back over the to the Red Lobsta and back around toward the parking lot of the TRU" LOL I told him not to wait till the day before Christmas to pick it up :lmao:

We won't buy Homeybaked any more, either. Our last one was very expensive and very fatty. We were way more impressed with the Sam's club deluxe spiral sliced. You never know!;)

Love Honeybaked Hams. Get one every Christmas and Easter. I love that it is a "sure thing." Never had a bad experience in the 10 years we've purchased them.

Honey Baked hams are worth the money, I've never had a bad one. I always get them from the store, never had one shipped. It's what we have every Christmas and Easter.

YES!!! I have been agonizing over spending the money for one this year as we have taken a big hit on our income. But I buy a medium sized one and use it for 2 parties (one Sat and one Sun so it's more than fine the next day) and THEN use the bone to make bean soup which is a HUGE batch that I freeze and eat for months.

Needless to say, I am finding a way to afford a Honeybaked for Christmas this year!!!
