Honolulu Marathon early registration for local residents is May 23, and May 24th. Race day is December 13th, 2009.

Since our local Niketown store is going under, registration will be at the Waikele Sports Authority.

Locals get a special rate of $30.00. (It was $20.00 two years ago. In 1995, I paid $2.00). Talk about inflation! LOL. :rotfl2:

Online registration is coming sometime in June. Non-resident rates not yet posted. This was the 2008 fee rates:

FEE SCHEDULE by Oct 31 Nov. 1 -Nov. 14 Nov. 15 -Dec. 13
International $140 $170 $200
U.S.(Including Hawaii Residents)
$105 $135 $200

10K Race Day Walk
$35 $45 $50

Hey Jeff,

Tracy and I will see you there.

So do you have spare rooms for us or will we be stuck pitching a tent in your back yard? :lmao:

My races are all set for this year but I plan on doing a Hawaii full or half at some point in the future.

No room at the inn Frank. Marcia has always had dibbs on it during marathon week.

It's tempting Jeff. But I'm doing the Maui 1/2 in September. Unless I hit the lottery, I don't think I'll be back to hawaii for a little while.

Terri

Okay, I have dibbs...I guess that means I'm signing up! :thumbsup2
I wonder if I can get them time off work?

Marcia,

Fly in Friday afternoon/night. Leave Sunday afternoon. Sleep on the plane.

I tried to convince the boyfriend to do this one. No go :(

Forms were emailed out for local residents. Printed ours out, and I will be going to the store on Saturday to register.

Hopefully the line won't be long.

It took longer than my half marathon time to early bird register for the Honolulu Marathon. 2:20 minutes.

Well, for $30.00 registration fee, wouldn't you stand in line too?

Marcia, check
Chester, check
Tracey, check
Jeff, check

TEAM WISH will be represented!!!

Is the Honolulu marathon the one where they don't close the finish line until everyone has crossed?

How come it costs so much more for international registrants? :)

Yep that's the run...a couple of years ago Jeff and I finished, went to eat, home to shower, then went out to do something..probably a celebratory drink and we saw someone walking into the park to finish...I think the last person finishes in the dark.

Thanks for signing us up and standing in line Jeff...I'll bring Freddie's for you this year!:thumbsup2

Vicky,

The race starts at 5 am, to beat the heat. It finishes whenever the last person crosses the finish line. Sometimes that's midnight or later!!! No time limit here.

No limit on number or registrants either.

If you ever know for sure in May (during the two day local registration), that you'll be here for the race in December, then let me know. I'll hook you up with the locals rate. Shhhhhhssssh, keep it a secret.
