Hi All - My fiance and I plan on spending our honeymoon at WDW and we really want to do it up (concierge room, deluxe resort, etc.). The problem is that there are so many great choices! We think we narrowed it down to either the Poly or the Yacht Club but I was wondering if I could get some opinions on what the most "romantic" hotel would be? Thanks for your help!

We were married at the Yacht Club in 2006 and while we did not stay concierge we LOVED our room there and the service. We split our stay YC and Contemporary and while the Contemporary was awesome we agreed that for us we should have stayed the whole time at the Yacht. When we checked in we explained that we were getting married at the Gazebo and asked if possible could we have a room over looking the wedding area. We knew it was a long shot - but our wish was granted (and the room was big).

Here are some photos of our view from the day of our wedding

Overall I don't think you can go wrong with either hotel. We haven't stayed at the Poly yet but love all the resorts.

As far as Concierge is concerned I don't like the Yacht Club. The CM's are lovely but I am not a fan of the food that they offer, the room is a little uninspiring and looks out over the car-park - but the hotel is my most favourite and I love to stay there I just wouldn't spend the money to stay there concierge again. Love Stormalong Bay it's a fabulous pool and one of the best on property if not THE best. Great for staying at if you're a big Epcot fan.

I have not stayed at the Polynesian but my friends stayed there in concierge and I visited them and sampled the concierge and all I can say is wow! Fabulous food and Fabulous view of the castle from the lounge and of Wishes - that would be my choice if I was staying concierge. However The Polynesian does not have a spa/hot tub so bear that in mind. Easy access to the Monorail lovely for the MK and Epcot.

But they are both lovely hotels and I don't envy you for having to make that choice!

we stayed at poly after our wedding and were a bit dissappointed. there are no king sized beds (except in the one honeymoon suite which is murder to book) and there was no hot tub, two things that were very important to us. the food at poly is amazing though. truly amazing!

i'm a bw girl myself, but the yc is so close and gives you many options for food, nightlife etc.

i say that if you are more into epcot/mgm, stay at yc, but if your more of an mk person and would enjoy the monorail and wouldn't miss out on the king bed/hot tub, then stay at poly.
