Hi all

Just signed up tonight as only found this site. It's amazing!!!

My girlfriend and I are getting married on July 14th 2012 in Jersey (not New Jersey, just Jersey, the original one near the UK).

We are in two minds if we should try and go for Disney after the wedding or delay until early September.

We went about 3 years ago during the first week of October and loved it because the weather was hot enough for us and the crowds were minimal.

What do you guys think we should do? Would the crowds be too much in July for us to handle? As it's our honeymoon, we don't want to spend it waiting in queues.

Thanks all

Welcome to the DIS! We went to WDW in July once -- that was enough. I would definitely wait til September. You probably realize that the first Monday in September is Labor Day, and after that most schools are back in session.

My fiance and i are getting married next June, and we will be waiting until September to go on our honeymoon. We want to be able to truly enjoy the trip, and I think we will just be so ready to relax after the wedding that we would be able to get the most out of the trip if we wait! We will be going somewhere local for a few days after the wedding, then make a 24 hour drive to Disney the first week in September. I think you will benefit from waiting since you will save money, and crowds will be so much lower!! :thumbsup2

we got married oct 1 2005, and went to disney for our honeymoon the 1st week of oct, and it was so nice! crowds were low, and it was just nice! we didnt know about the halloween party, and it we had it would have been extra fun!!! so that is something to consider, do you want to go to the halloween party? i would suggest it!
