Honeymoon tips?

Another coincidence! We do have an Ohana ADR for our first night and we will hopefully be watching Wishes afterwards!
Our wedding is July 14 :cloud9:

WOW same day as us for the wedding! When is your Ohana ADR? We are going there on the 17th I believe!

Congratulations! We will be celebrating our 25th next year by going to WDW, so there are lots of fun and romantic things to do whether you are just starting out or are an old married couple like us!
When we used to stay at Pop before we owned DVC, I always like to request the Tramp hotel (from Lady and the Tramp, nothing sketchy), and asked for a lakeside room - pretty view of the lake, and always got to see ducks and bunnies on our way out in the mornings. Quiet there too.
If we want to be away from the hustle and bustle of the parks (or like this trip, we don't have park passes) we love to go to the beach at the Polynesian at night and sit on lounge chairs and watch Wishes across the lake - they pipe in the music through speakers there, it's wonderful, and you don't have a crushing crowd as you leave!
We also love to just visit other resorts and take in the different ambiances. We have lunch at the Whispering Canyon cafe, then go relax in the Iron Spike room in the DVC section and sit in leather rockers or play chess/checkers. We always visit AKL because I love the gift shop and to see the animals (this trip we are staying at Kidani, so I can't wait). And doing the monorail loop without visiting parks, just getting off at each resort and wandering around is fun. The Beach Club, Boardwalk are great for wandering around, and we absolutely love Jellyrolls!
Enjoy! Hope you have many happy years and many anniversaries visiting WDW!!

Just keeping this thread alive now to share my excitement for my honeymoon and all things Disney! I love WDW more then anyplace on earth and and I cannot wait to spend a week there with my lovely wife!

My husband and I always make a reservation for 1 non quick service meal a day, so we know at least we are eating something healthy. We also plan around extra magic hours and go at night to that park. We like to sleep in late, and stay later and usually there is not as many people in the park late at night.

We went for an anniversary trip and a 30th birthday trip. We wore our pins and got tons of free things. I got fast passes or a cm let me cut to the front of the line. CM also sang happy birthday to my husband. We also got free dessert at every meal we wore our pins at. We even had a chef at Boma come out and make us 5 special desserts that were not on the menu. It was really magical and worth wearing the pins.

Remember to relax and have fun.

I would go to downtown market place and go to design a t-shirt store and get shirts made up.Made they can do just married

My DW and I will be there 7/24-7/28 celebrating our 10th anniversary.

It will be our first time without kids and we're looking forward to taking a slower pace and being able to wander DTD without little ones pulling this way or that to beg for something.

We have a couple "nice" dinners at Coral Reef and Le Chefs, but Friday night will be our special night with tickets to the early Cirque followed by the wishes dessert party in MK. I was shocked as I just booked the wishes dessert party and every night that week had availability.

Good luck with your coming nuptials.

Be sure to let the restaurants know ahead of time that you're celebrating your honeymoon. When we made our ADRs, the sweet lady on the other end of the line made a note on each of our reservations that we were honeymooning. At each restaurant, the wait staff tried to make it extra special {i.e., free appetizer, candles at the table{!}, etc}.

Thank you all very much for the helpful advice! My one other question is what are some good attractions that are not major ones that a lot of people seem to pass by not knowing how good they are? I know of Rafikis planet watch and that it does not see very much action is there anything else like this that happens to be at a slower pace and people do not happen to visit often?
Thanks!
