Okay I'm looking for honeymoon ideas, or rather fun things to do while there to surprise my husband with. Were going in May and right now all I've managed to do is book a MK Fireworks specialty cruise for my husband and I. He of course has no idea about it b/c that will be one of his surprises!!!! But I'm looking for other ideas to, so any are appreciated immensely! I'm not sure if this will help at all but we are splitting our stay at the CB and the AKL. Thanks so much in advance! :cool1: :earsboy: :earseek:

Also if anyone is looking for MK fireworks cruises I called yesterday and managed to get ours booked. Apparently there had been several cancellations during the week of May 18th to the 23rd just an FYI for everyone. :earboy2:  :earsboy:

If you are looking for something truly unique, you can contact Gifts of a Lifetime . They will help you find what you are looking for. They aren't cheap though. I had them decorate our room while we were getting married.

i suggest trying one of the wdw behind the scenes tours, me & my fiance really enjoyed the dolphins in depth at epcot, which was a dolphin interaction & education. we also did an illuminations firework cruise, & a moonlite specialty cruise with dessert & snacks from the yacht club on past trips, these are just magical, we have yet to try the grand1 but hope to do this during our wdw wedding. also we did a hayride at ft wilderness which was romantic cuddling in the hay on the wagon and a couples spa treatment at the grand floridian, which was very relaxing. also always mention its your wedding, honeymoon, anniversary when making reservation - checking in to resort, making ps's - arriving at ps's, etc. you could also order a gift basket through disney floral to be at your room when you arrive or make personalized tshirts for the occasion at disneydirect.com, me & fiance always do one day with matching - pzd shirts, its so cute!

we stayed at the akl savannah view on our november '03 trip & it was great, very exotic & relaxing. we enjoyed a private casual dinner on our balcony the first night too, just us, dinner, our wine & the view.

have a great time at wdw!

I booked a stretch limousine to pick us up from the airport, and my fiance doesn't know it, and I also booked a romantic dinner on our balcony at the AKL on the first night too!!! For limo companies, look on the transportation section of this board...there are sooooo many things that you can do to surprise your partner-to-be!!!

Oh wow thank you guys so much for all of the ideas! I filled out the questionnaire on that one site as well to see what they can come up with! Thank you SO Much for telling me about that dreams91 because I had never heard of them before!

Okay so for others looking for similiar things here is what I have come up with:

- Illuminations cruises starting at $140.84 (These book up very fast)
- Magic Kingdom Fireworks cruises starting at $140.84 <-- WE GOT ONE BOOKED! WOOHOO!!! (These book up fast but not as fast as Illuminations. There were a lot of cancellations during the week of May 18th to the 23rd for those of you interested in these.)
- The Dolphin Swim Experience that twojo21 was so kind to mention. Its about $150 per person for it and theres an educational portion of it along with about 30 minutes in the water with the dolphins. You are only waist deep so if you can't swim it's not a problem. Were opting out of this only b/c if we do a dolphin swim I know my husband would want to be immersed in water. What can I say hes like a fish!
- Swimming with Sharks in Typhoon Lagoon. Anyone can do this but not a lot of people know about it! They have more in-depth experiences in the shark reef for $20/person and $15/for the second person.
- Surfing $125/person for 2 1/2 hours of instruction before Typhoon Lagoon opens.
- Carriage rides $30 for half an hour I think it was. NOt positive on that.
- Parasailing at the Contemporary resort is $90 for one person for 8-10 minutes and $140/tandem for the same time frame.
- Boat rentals obviously at the other resorts along with renting bikes, canoes, and paddleboats.

Also, the limo idea would be great except were driving down from Ohio so will have our car already with us. But I bet your fiance will LOVE that njdc5! I remember my husbands first limo ride and he was ecstatic with it! :)

Apparently there are other sorts of in-room deliveries but I have to look into this still. I'll keep everyone posted on what I find!

Do you mind telling me what kind of decorations they did? I had thought about contacting them about doing the exact same thing, but am wondering if it will be worth the cost. :confused3

If you have the extra money and want something special, I'd say yes. If money is kinda tight, I wouldn't do it. Here's pics of our room. It's hard to tell in the pics, but it included some lights, massage oils, bath oils, champagne & mickey glasses (which broke, our fault) :guilty: , etc.

I'm looking for honeymoon ideas as well, we're going down on Memorial Day for a week...so far we have booked an Illuminations Cruise the first night we're there (actually someone else on the boards booked it, we're along for the ride) and I'd also like to book a Carriage Ride by our hotel (staying at POFQ) as well as trying to rent a bicycle built for 2 and riding that around, maybe on the boardwalk if they have them.

We also have the MYW + Dining so we're going to trade in 2 table service meals to get a signature service at the Yachtsman.

Now I just have to call and make all the PS for the meals and a reservation for the carriage, do they book up fast for the rides?

Not too sure about how fast the carriage rides book up but my friend just got back from spring break in Disney and booked a carriage ride after she got down there. It's probably better if you do it before you get down there but she said there wasn't a problem in trying to find availability.

I don't know who does it, but I see hotair balloons over WDW all the time. Maybe you could try to book a fly over.

awesome thanks!! :flower:

Found another idea! WOOHOO! Although it's probaby not as surprising to everyone else but was to me. I had been under the impression that only the GF could make miniature wedding cakes, but other resorts apparently can do it as well! I had been wondering about this b/c DH really has a sweet tooth and he devoured the wedding cake top we took with us when we were at Cedar Point the weekend after our wedding, and he mentioned he'd like the chance to do that again! lol Anyways GF does not deliver those, you'd have to pick them up so forget the element of surprise there unless you are staying at the GF. But you can call the main line, 1-800-828-0228, and have them connect you to Food and Beverage Services at your resort and see if they can make you one. The AKL is making one for us and they are going to have it waiting in our room when we get back from the parks one night! I can't wait to see his face! :jumping1:
