My DIL is looking at doing this for their wedding ( cruise ) instead of the normal gift registry. Has anyone done this and can you give any advice? My son is in the USMC and their dates for the honeymoon may have to change due to the recent conflicts. He is currently in Afghanistan and they are planning everything when he comes home but you know how the military can be. Thanks in advance :worship:

The Disney honeymoon registry just puts all of the money on a gift card. Therefore dates can change, plans can change, etc. If someone purchases you "dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table," you will actually just get that $150 or so on your Disney gift card - you do not have to eat at CRT to get the value.

Make sense? :)

The registry also takes a 7% cut. You could register at target for Disney cards that you can then use for your honeymoon.

On top of that, there's a 3% fee paid by guests who use credit cards. ^^I think bigr3ddog's idea is probably the best and easiest way to do it. If they really wanted to give guests the feeling that they're paying for a specific item or experience, there are plenty of other honeymoon registries out there that take a smaller cut than the Disney-branded one run by Honeymoon Wishes. For example...

Thank you so much. I don't think she is aware of the 7% cut.
