My fiancé and I are booked into POFQ for our honeymoon from 30th June until 9th July - at the time we booked it, we didn't even notice it was directly over the 4th July holiday (I'm british, but he is American so he has no excuse!) we had to book it for those dates anyway, as our wedding is on the 27th June, my birthday is on the 29th June and our second wedding (yes, second wedding, the plight of an international relationship! :-D) is on the 11th July!
We are fully aware of what we will be letting ourselves in for - heat, humidity, afternoon showers/storms, crazy busy crowds and generally full height of the season issues - but we're not letting any of it ruin our special trip! We have pretty much planned it to spend one full crazy busy day in each park, with one day dedicated to one of the waterparks and the other days left as more relaxed so we can either head back to the parks if ready or just chill out by the pool or elsewhere......
We have made all sorts of special plans (we wouldn't normally book things and be so pre planned out, but because of the time of year, and it being our honeymoon, we thought we had better!) including :-
Special last night dinner at Victoria and Alberts
Tickets to see La Nouba
Dinner at California Grill (timed to see the fireworks hopefully!)
Dinner at the Rose and a Crown (again timed for the fireworks - bit of a tradition in my family!)
Keys to the Kingdom Tour
DiveQuest Tour
Fantasmic Dinner Package (just so we don't have to worry so much about getting seats, and forces us to take a break for some food!)
Wishes Dessert Party (on the 3rd July so hopefully it will be more relaxed for the special fireworks than trying to fight the crowds!)
Other things we want to do:-
Horse carriage Ride
Characters in Flight
Walk along the Boardwalk and just take it all in!
Drink around the world at Epcot - hoping this would be able to allow us to slow the pace a bit!
Anyway.......If anyone has any more suggestions either of things we should look into doing, or how to handle/cope with the crazy crowds that will be around they would be greatly appreciated!
We are so excited, and I'm just twiddling my thumbs waiting for the next step I can start doing things since I finished making our ADR's (Fastpass booking next!)
