We started out looking at all inclusives and don't want to deal with getting our passports. So, I am looking for ideas to go while staying in the US and try to stay at $250 a night or less. Prefer oceanfront and not in a place infested with Spring Breakers. Our dates are March 28-April 1st. Before anyone says anything, we had to do it during my son's spring break so I would have someone to watch him :)
We have looked at NC, SC, FL, and also Gulf Shores, AL. Any other ideas??

Thanks!!

Could you avoid the Passport issue by going to someplace like the U.S Virgin Islands?

We have Passports....
I would suggest that you don't let that detail stop you from planning a Honeymoon trip to your favorite destination! (unless, of course, in your case, a Passport might entail more of a hassle for some reason ????)

I know fees are increasing, but I don't think this has taken effect yet????

It is beyond easy to get a passport... You fill out paperwork, have a picture taken, and then mail them in! 1-2-3.

I'd go to Puerto Rico... Very beautiful outside of San Juan.

San Diego and stay at the Del Coronado-not a college spring break destination at all, lovely, romantic hotel right on the beach.

Why not have an adventure in San Francisco? There is lots to see and do there and it really is a romantic city.:woohoo:

I'm not completely set against getting the passports, I actually have a couple resorts in Riviera Maya I have been watching.
For some reason I would like to stay in the US. I will look at the California areas and also the Poconos.

Thanks!

If I had a week without my kids I would head to San Diego and visit the San Diego Zoo then all the theme parks on my way up to LA, including Disneyland of course, then fly home out of LAX. If I had more time I'd continue North up to San Francisco and fly out of there instead of LA. Check out the Southern California Citypass, I think they have a pretty good deal.

If you leave the US I would recommend Aruba, it is absolutely lovely.

I hope you have a wonderful time on your Honeymoon, congratulations!

I second San Francisco! You could also venture up and do the wineries as well. I think that is very romantic.

Hawaii-- Specifically the Hilton Waikaloa Village.

San Francisco is lovely, and you could head out for the day to Napa or Sonoma (if you like wine).

Monterey/Carmel in California is also beautiful.

I have heard great things about Amelia Island. Sil honeymoooned there in March.

The pictures were beautiful. They were loaned use of a condo m
of a family member of her new husband.

The keys are also a possibilty, but one doesn't go there for beaches.
You can fly into Miami.
