just wondering if anyone has done this or is planning to do it while at WDW. i have seen some prices, but they seem a bit steep. i also read that you can do this at castaway cay... we will be at both since we are doing the land and sea vacation...

anyone done this who could shed some light on the situation??

I LOVE PARASAILING FROM THE CONTEMP. You definately should do this. I will be doing it again on March 9th after my breakfast ressies at Chef Mickeys. It gives you a view of Walt Disney you would not believe and it is not as scary as one would think. You could go tandem which would be for 2 people as long a weight permits or you can go single. My husband always goes Single and I go with our daughter. It is a must do at least one time. You definately will not regret doing it.

As for doing it on Castaway Cay I have not done this one yet however plan on it in the very near future. Im sure most of the view will be of the ocean however one never truely knows until it is done.

Do it you will love it at the Contemp.

did you all see the episode on Disney on the Travel channel this week. They had a little bit about the parasailing and I was under the impression that this was only an option if you were staying in a particular resort-I want to say it was the GF. I would love to do this as well, so if there is any one who knows more information, please post!!

inloveindisney- If you look at my post you would see that I mention I had did this and will be doing it again at the Contempory Resort. It is only done there and is open to anyone.
If you go to http://allearsnet.com/btp/parasail.htm It will give you all the info.

I would not post false info:teeth:

Sorry, I just read the post quickly and did not notice the thing about the contemporary. I didn't think that you were posting false info. I know you would never do that. I just didn't see it.
Sorry.

Wow! This sounds cool!

I would love to do this!!! I would LOVE to get my digital camera up there with me too! I might have to research this some!

You see I love the thought of being able to do something like this but I'm way too scared in reality.

Good Luck to all of you that can take those heights - you're all so brave - I'm so impressed :Pinkbounc

We just did this in Jan. We both enjoyed it, although we're not sure we'll do it again. We were on the Gold Plan, so it was included, but it would have been $232 otherwise. We had to go separately, since together we weight a bit more than 320 lbs or whatever the weight limit is to go tandem. It was very smooth and gradual, although there was a bit of wind resistance around the turns that I didn't like. We had to reschedule 3 times because of the cold - the marinas are closed if it's below 50. HTH:D Oh, we went at the Contemporary.

we are going to be on the silver plan and are going to do this with some of our wishes. I'm so excited, and I'm terrifed of heights! :)
