I'd like to see this, but I'm concerned about my 3yr. old. She probably will get scared. Do you think if I kept her on my lap and took off her 3D glasses, it won't be scary for her? :confused3

I would definately keep her on your lap so she doesn't 'feel anything' ;) if you are familiar with the show. :rolleyes1

The snake part may still be scray without the glasses, but certainly less so than wiht the glasses. The sounds can be quite scary to some kids as well.

My 5 year old and 2.5 year old liked Philharmagic....but after Tough to be a Bug at AK.....they wouldnt even consider another 3D...In Muppet Vision they wouldnt put on the glasses at all.

We didnt even try Honey...I'd heard it was worse than Tough to be a Bug.

I'm not taking my child on tough to be a bug. That would really scare her since she's afraid of all sorts of bugs. I've never been to Honey....Audience. How loud is it? What are the scary parts?

We took our DD then 3 on all the 3D shows and she was fine. She sat cross legged in the chair for Honey, because I remembered the mouse thing. She loved them all and wasn't scared at all.

Be forewarned ... they make you sit through a long Kodak commercial before even letting you into the theater.

my 5yo HATED Muppet Vision, she was so freaked out. So, we didn't try any other 3d...and if she hears the words 3d she'll tell you adamently that she "does not like" 3d anything. This is the same kid who was madder than a wet hen when she was 2 inches too short for a roller coaster at Busch Gardens. Go figure :confused3

This is just my opinion....I think It's Tough to be a Bug is more intense than Honey I Shrunk the Audience... I don't think Honey ISTA is worth the time for a 3yo.

The wait is long and then like a previous poster said, you have to sit (stand actually) through a long Kodak preshow (which actually brings tears to my eyes :rolleyes1 ). You need to stand the whole time of the preshow which gets hard on little ones and their parents who they hang on. The show is a little intense and it just doesn't do it for me!

Mickey's Philharmagic is awesome and we like Muppets 3D. I would stick to those with younger ones. There is so much to see and do, this is just one I would skip.

Our DS2 liked Philharmagic, but it had the characters that he likes - he kept looking out for Mickey. However in many other such "shows" he was upset with the volume more than anything else.

There is a large snake and I think a cat/lion but I could be wrong. It is pretty loud. I think I would try out muppet vision or mickey's philharmagic first.

Yes I agree those two. Go see those.

On one trip my daughter did Honey I Shrunk and Tough to be Bug, but wouldn't go on anything 3d after that. Three trips later she will see Muppets and Mickeys Philharmagic, but not the others.

This attraction caused our DS to completely freak out when he was about 6yo. I would really hesitate to take a younger child into it, esp. since you seem to sense that she would be upset by it - you know best what "type of scary" will most affect your child. For some it's intense motion rides and for others it's intense psychological stuff.
This one has some pretty intense stuff (at least for a small child) such as the Rick Moranis character, miniaturized, hovering right in front of you in one of his inventions. His "hovercraft" is made with some sort of fan for a motor and he seems to lose control of it at one point and you feel as if you are about to get the fan right in your face, complete with the wind generated by it. The show gets really loud and at one point you are in complete darkness for a few moments (this is when you get the sensation of mice crawling all over you). It's all really neat when you have some idea what is going on and can predict what is about to happen next but a small child is likely to be caught completely off-guard. I agree with others that there are plenty of other shows better suited to small children - this might be a good one to save for a later trip when she has had a little more experience with this type of attraction and has a better idea what to expect (build up to it in other words). Sorry to be so long-winded but this attraction had a really negative impact on our first trip. Hope my info was helpful.

Each child is different, so it's tough for anyone to predict how your child might react. But, I'd err on the side of caution and skip it.

My son (3yrs) FREAKED OUT at Mickey's Philharmagic and that isn't scary at all. I think the volume really got to him. He was so scared after that that he freaked any time we went into any auditorium setting - even CoP!!! :confused3

Even after we got home, he would go to the movies which he used to love to do. It took him about a year to get over it.

I think his case is pretty extreme, but after seeing how much a 3D movie can scare a little one, I'd say skip it!

Thanks you guys. I'll probably skip it since this would be the 1st 3D we'll be seeing (we're going to epcot on our 2nd day) and I don't want to chance my daughter not wanting to see phillharmagic or muppetvision.

I'm a grown woman, and not too proud to say that Honey ISTA, freaked the cr-p out of me. The whole mice touching you, left me jittery for hours afterwards. A Bugs Life was the same. By the time the family got around to Muppets, I was completely 3D'd out. I would take Rockin Rollercoaster, Tower of Terror, or Expedition Everest over any 3D movie that touches you while you are sitting. Yup, call me a chicken..............:scared

personally, I think you'd have way more fun omitting Honey ISTA,

Marty Jay
