Honda Element?

Does anyone have a Honda Element yet? I don't know why but I want to trade in my comfy large Odyssey on one of these. My DH thinks I am nuts. Any other opinions?

But I saw my first one in person yesterday.
They are smaller then you think. I have two sons who surf, and I am always carting boys and surf boards and I thought it would be perfect for this. No, too small.

I saw one yesterday for the first time too. I do not like that boxy look(IMHO). Did not look inside, so not sure of the size. I do have a new CVR, 2 kids and a perfect fit with that! Do NOT miss my van at all!

BBB, do you love your CRV? We had a 98, and we just got another 2003. As much as I loved the first one, the newer one is even better. There are a few more features and it seems like so much more space inside.
I agree, I dont care for the look of the Element, but thats JMO. I definitely would prefer an Oddyssey over the Element.

Saw one in person the other day. Agree that it's smaller than you think -- picture square PT Cruiser.

Also, although you didn't ask, IMHO, it is the goofiest looking thing I have ever seen.

Camcolt-we LOVE my CRV! My favorite car yet! PLENTY of room and love all the little storage nooks built in the doors, backs of seats and rear door! They ARE bigger than the 2001's and earlier. They redesigned the shape and made the back bigger. So glad DH talked me out of another van! Gets pretty good gas mileage too!

BBB - We have a 2000 CRV and love it. When they re-designed it they took too much leg room from the front and SO ends up with his knees on the dash - literally.

Congrats on the new car. If you see a white SRV SE honk - it may be me (especially with a Mickey antenna topper)

We test drove an Element a few weeks back. We totally forgot about the outside when we were in it. And that thing will turn on a dime and give you nine cents change.
