Any thoughts on the issue? My second grader gets a sheet with the week's worth of homework assignments on it, and I was thrilled to see that the teacher is giving them tonight off from homework. My fifth grader, on the other hand, was told by her teacher yesterday that, yes, they will have homework tonight.
While it's not an official holiday...come on - give the kids a break! They so much look forward to Halloween. It takes time to get dressed up, go out trick-or-treating, greet other trick-or-treaters, get the costume off, etc. Why give them homework on tonight? Let them have one day off.
I'm hoping the teacher changes her mind. What do you think about it?
