I know this amazingly random, but does anyone have any kind of idea how much William Shatner would make per day if hired to do a documentary!?!?! I'm actually being serious about this though! For my media production planning class we're "making" a documentary about Three Mile Island and we put Shatner as our host. Unfortunately we have to make a realistic budget and have NO IDEA what to put as talent costs!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I actually run a college TV station so maybe I could help you a little but with this.
For one thing, it would be nearly impossible for you to get Shatner to host your documentary. This may sound a bit jaded, but a big name celeb like him doesn't do things for free. But if you really want to find out hard numbers ... find out what agency he's with and call them. I'd be surprised if you got past the secretary.

Yeah, we're not actually shooting it. We have to do all of the paperwork for the preproduction and "pitch" it to our prof for the final. It's just a mock documentary, so we could have any talent we wanted to star in it. My prof never returns emails so I can't even get a ball park number to put on my budget.

I confered with my Husband Huge Shatner fan!! Has read everything ever written about Shatner.

This is Dh's take. Shatner is a every Charitable person and he is continue showing up in odd projects ie the commercial on tv where he is river dance with the women in her dream.

So,say Shatner was very interested in your Documentary and did it for scale. Now all you to do is figure out what scale would be. For Leno's show I think is $1500.

You may be correct about that price.
But that Riverdance commercial he was in was actually an ad for Priceline ... and I'm sure they gave him alot of money. If your documentary is commercially viable, then perhaps he would do it.

But I'd put Shatner in your project anyway. Shatner's a cool guy, so if your teacher has a problem with it, thats too bad.
