Homewood Suites LBV

Hello all
This is my first visit to the US Boards.
We are holidaying in Orlando from 07/26/02 for 16 days. We are stopping at the Homewood Suites LBV.
Has anyone any information good or bad about our accommodation. (forwarned is forarmed)
Also, when are the school holidays in Florida?
Best place for a STEAK?

Hi--I can't answer your other questions but we've stayed at this Homewoods twice before and we really like it a lot. Very clean, nice rooms, great service and a good breakfast in the am. I don't think you'll be disappointed at all.

My niece and nephew just returned from there last week. They said it was very nice, with a good complimentary breakfast buffet. They are only 13 and 15 , but know what they like! They said the pool was nothing spectacular, just a hotel pool. I know the rate they had was $79.

We stayed at Homewood Suites LBV last summer and were very pleased. They have a good complimentary breakfast with some
hot food as well as bagels, muffins and the like. The suites are
much nicer than some of the other suite hotels we've stayed in
(i.e. Quality Suites, Amerisuites). The layout is roomier. You get
a full size refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster
oven, dishwasher and full size sink, not wet bar size. You have a
two seater breakfast area. The living area has a full size sofa bed, coffee table and recliner (comfy) with its own TV/VCR combo.
I believe we had two queen size beds in the bedroom, but I could be wrong. They may have only been doubles. Another TV is in
the bedroom. Bathroom sink is separate from toilet/tub area.
As mentioned, the pool is nothing special but my kids enjoyed it
just the same.

We were very pleased with the location. You're most likely aware
of the LBV convenience to Walt Disney World, but you can
actually make a right out of the Homewood Suites driveway and
follow Palm Parkway/Turkey Lake Road right up to the back
entrance of Universal Studios and IOA without ever hitting the
traffic on I-4. Depending on your hour of travel this can be a big
plus.
