So I just booked a room for the end of April at the new homewood suites convention center next to toy story parking for $111/night!!! Fantastic deal I just thought I would pass along! Not sure how long it's going on for but check it out

Aww it doesn't show up for our dates in June but if you can get it those are great rates!!!

I saw an e-mail for Hilton brand flash sale. Said it was for dates through May 28 I think and that you had to pre-pay in full. I'm guessing this is part of that sale.

I did! And yes you had to prepay and join the Hilton honors rewards thing

Darn, nothing comes up for my dates. Already have a room there for mid May, with AAA rates, but thought it was worth a look to see if I could do better. I booked back in November and got a pretty good rate though, so no big deal.

IDK your exact dates but i put in may 15-22 and it came up with a 2queen room for $111

I'm 5/18 to 5/25. First time I did a search it told me nothing found. Now I'm seeing the 2 queen 1 bedroom for $111. Strange. Will have to give it some thought. I normally prefer to have changeable reservations. The current one can be cancelled up until 2 days prior to check-in, so will have to weigh the flexibility of the current reservation with the savings of the flash sale (and do it fast).

Decision made. Too good a deal to pass up, so have booked with the flash sale rate. Will cancel the original reservation in the next day or too. Thanks to the OP for the tip!

Are you sure? I booked the 24-27 for the $111/night. I also booked a seperate reservation for the 23rd at 134/night. I found that if your dates fall over a fri, sat it will quote the higher price for the entire stay. I called them and they advised the 2 seperate reservations to get the better deal. Maybe try breaking up your dates a bit and seeing. Hth!

I had DH log in and check our June dates but we did not see any specials. I do however feel even better about our rate of $149 for the King/bunkbed room. The price that came up now for our dates was from $259 to $309!

The promotion is for stays 3/28 - 5/31. But I think your rate is excellent. Not sure the promotion would have gotten you any better than that.

I agree! We booked quite a few months ago and got a better discount because of it being a longer stay. We will be there 11 nights

I have never used getawaytoday but heard of it here and they seem to offer free 4th night for some hotels including Homewood.

I am too risk averse to book with no free cancellation.

I am like that too. In fact, I think that this might be the first pre-paid no cancellation or change hotel reservation I've ever done. But I did some research and found out that one of the benefits of a Visa Signature card is free trip cancellation/trip interruption insurance. Turns out I have a card that is Visa Signature, so I used it to make the reservation. It provides a decent amount of coverage (more than enough for this particular booking) and covers most reasons I can think of that might cause me to not be able to go on a trip.

When I checked it game a disclaimer that they would be undergoing renovations 3/28- 5/30. Is that the reason for the flash sale you think?
