Hello everyone!
Like so many, my husband and I have fallen on tough financial times. Currently, my oldest is 6 and in K5 at a private school. Our other daughter is almost 15 months and in daycare full time. I am still looking for a job, so we have left her in daycare for the time being (a lot easier than taking her out and having to re-apply and wait for an opening, etc.).
At this point, we are trying to prepare for next school term. We are considering homeschooling our oldest and keeping the youngest home, too. That saves approximately $1000/month. That's half of what I used to make, and we have a home business that brings in close to $1000/month, or it DEFINITELY should by next school term!
To get to my point, I have been considering homeschooling my daughter for some time, for the bonding, learning, growing, and financial aspect of it. I would like to get some advice from other parents that have done this on how hard it is, what all is involved, and what your basic school schedule is like each day? You know, 'A day in the life'... I want to make sure I fully understand this before I discuss it further with my husband. Thanks in advance!!
