We are planning a trip next spring and will be focusing heavily on sea world, discovery cove and maybe aquatica. We are starting our first year of homeschooling and I am going to have the children research animals in advance and then experience them in person. I am so excited! If we wanted to really explore these parks and take our time learning, how many days would you think?

TIA

Wow that's a good idea!I would have loved that when I was younger!I haven't been to discovery cove or aquatica but seaworld is one of my favourite parks when I go to Florida and I could easily spend 3 days there just looking at the animals!I love it,I even drag my boyfriend back there on the day we are leaving before we go to the airport just so I can say bye to my favourite animals!lol!

You wont need to spend too much time if you are simply researching the animals! Back when I went to Sea World on a school field trip, we had a pretty long worksheet to complete and we did everything in one day with no issue. Take into account it was during off season.

Being a SW fanatic and going almost every weekend growing up, I couldnt imagine not wanting to spend the entire vacation there but from experience I have found that most families find SW a one day event, some returning the next morning to redo anything they heavily enjoyed or squeeze in the show they missed but if you are planning on hanging around each attraction to learn more about the animals, you could spend two days at SW and then visit Aquatica on the third!

Make sure you look for the SW employees with education patches on their shirts! They are pretty knowledgeable about the animals they are dealing with and love interacting with families and young ones!

The trainers are separate from the educators. The educators do rotate throughout the park, so if you want to you can talk to them about any animal They're the ones in light blue shirts that say education on them. The trainers usually stick with the same group of animals for a while. Usually after shows a few of them will stay out with the audience.
Some of them are better talkers, so talk to a lot of them. And don't miss out on the 2pm Penguin talk, that's how I met Cobie in my signature.

You also might want to look into the VIP tour or other tours to get a little more upclose to some of the animals.
