I just wanted to share my save the dates that I made. As we're in the UK I've sent them out 2 and a half years earlier than our planned date, just to give people lots of time to save. As you will see my colours are hot pink and aqua blue.

This is the finished article:

And here is the back with the ribbon:

I don't know if it's that clear, but i sprayed EVERYTHING with "pixie dust", in the form of spray on glitter, which seemed to go down really well (although it's still all over my computer!!!). Just have to send them all out now!

(Sorry if the sizes differ, photobucket doesn't like me very much!!)

Wow, they are great :thumbsup2 and I love the pixiedust idea

OMG I love those and if you add chocolate brown to that those are my colors!!!!! How did you make those? My sister (MOH) and I are going to be making my STD's next weekend but i'm looking for ideas!

Aww thanks for all your kind words! I'm so glad they worked out ok, it took lots of fiddling to get it right!

Thanks figment fan!! Great minds think alike on colours!! I made a template on Publisher with all the printed stuff on it, and printed them double sided onto the aqua card from the craft store. I got one STD per A4 piece of card (aprox), but you could make them smaller if you like. Then i printed Mickey & Tink (literally just clip-art from the web) onto some white card and cut the ears shape & the characters out. I stuck the characters on with a sellotape double sided sticky foam pad that I cut out, so they looked 3D ish. Then i just used little stick on gems of different sizes for the gem Mickey & what's coming off Tink's wand, then sprayed them with spray on glitter. Once dry I tied the ribbon round and voila! I did also seal the ribbon ends that were fraying with the spray on glitter to make them neater).

The envelopes were soooo easy, I cut a square out of an A3 piece of paper, folder each corner into the middle and stuck the 3 sides with kids craft glue. Then i popped the STD in, put a blob of glue on the tip of the sealing section, and added mickey, just one big round stone and two little ones for ears. I had about 10 to make, and it took me just under a day in total (that includes lots of messing on etc and problems with my printer).

If you would like to have a look at/use my template for the actually card itself I can send you the publisher file if you PM me.

Good luck with making your STD's - and don't forget to post so I can be nosey and have a look!!!!:goodvibes
