Hi,
We're going to DLP in October with friends.
We have been before but my friends haven't and I wanted to make them a guide for their stay. :)
Please could someone help me with reccomendations of what to put in, what not to miss etc?
Thanks in Advance :)

Is it a guide of what you will be doing or what you could be doing during your stay with them? We went with friends in June and they'd been before but we hadn't and although I put my twopence worth on for deciding on what to do, where to go and what to eat I did leave it to my friend. Our kids are all the same age and what her kids like mine will like. We ended up with a rough idea of what park we were going into on what day and also where we were going to be eating.

If you're not deciding on what you're all doing before you go you could put a list of the rides together and then give your rating on how good/scarey they are. You could then do the same for places to eat and perhaps some shows that you've already been to. If you know what they like to do you could also put in some ideas of things you haven't tried yourself.

I would also give them an idea of how much things cost and what's a good idea to bring (drinks/snacks for kids, comfy shoes etc) and what's not worth bringing.

Our holiday was made 10 times better by having out friends there who'd been before....we hit the ground running when we got there instead of wasting time finding our feet.

How about a slideshow of your previous trip(s)? My friend did that for me before we visited WDW the first time and it really helped get us excited.

As well as the information Suzie suggested I would include:
Information about how fastpass works and which rides have it.
If they have children information on height restrictions for rides could be useful.
An idea of how much things will cost.
If you will be using EMH which rides will be open.
Good strategies for getting on some of the busier rides.
Good spots for watching the parades.
The best way to get from their hotel to the park.

Hope this helps. jo

How to find the Esso garage and the station shop.
Which are the quieter toilets are (and if anyone knows where there is a toilet in the studios without a massive queue please tell me!)?
Realistic guide to how much time things take, eg, to walk from hotel to park versus bus, wait times in restaurants and in queues (like Pirates can have a queue that looks huge, but the boats get a lot of people through in one go so it moves quite fast, but Peter Pan has slow throughput, and breaks down quite often!)
A tip that its very hard to find the park maps and showtimes once you have gone through the entrance, so take a spare and don't lose them (done that!)
