Homemade bread

What is thr best way to store homemade bread (assuming it's not gobbled up right out of the oven)?

I just put mine in a gallon Zip-Loc baggie...but wait until it's cooled. Of course they fit because I'm using a bread machine. I don't think a regular loaf pan baked in the oven would fit. My cousin puts those in regular bread bags - after washing them out of course.

Lakleland Ltd do a fantastic cotton bag with a special lining - we hang ours on the cupboard door with the bread inside and it keeps well (I soemtimes put it inside a big freezer bag as well if I've got more than one type of bread.

Or let it get cold, slice it and freeze it.
