I have a question for those who make homemade autograph books. I am probably going to Disney in January and I want to make a homemade autograph book. What is a good size book to use? And for those who use clipart pics of the characters in the book, what are good websites to use? I want this to be a nice keepsake and want it to be nice. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as I have never done this before and I'm not very creative. Thanks.

Joanna, I don't have an answer about the autograph book BUT you have the MOST Wonderful Collection of CHARACTER Pictures I have ever SEEN!

Thanks for sharing with us!

edited to say that the school name on your shirt in the pictures seemed VERY familiar.....and now I see where you are from - my sister and her family live in your town - my niece is a freshman at your high school....'It's A Small World....' :wave2:

I am using the 7x7 albums that CM has for my kids autograph books. I am using the disney album for my son, and a standard 7x7 in blush color for my daughter.

I am not planning on taking the albums to the parks, but to use 4x5 acid free spiral books to get the autographs in, then mount them in the book with matting the autographs and pictures.

I have just started, not even in the albums, but to make the Incredibles logo for those pages, and then also to think about what characters the kids want to be sure to get, and try to plan the order that I want them in the book. I know that with DD I will go much heavier with the princesses, that I will with my DS.

I too would like to know where people get their clip art from, and who to go about getting them in the album.

GrayFal, that is so cool! I didn't think I'd ever find someone, or someone friends/family, from my hometown. What a small world! Also, thanks for your kind words about my pictures. One of my hobbies is taking pictures with the characters (maybe that's why I want to be a character so badly) I'm hoping to have more after my next trip. That's why I want the info for homemade autograph books! :teeth:

I actually just made mine today! I took 2 pieces of chipboard and cut them to 5x6in and punched three holes in the left hand side. I covered them with patterned disney winter paper (baby blues, purple, and white with snowflakes) and put "autographs" on the front with stickers and a silver mickey head locket. It is an actual lock from boxer scrapbooks, really cute, but a little bulky for my regular albums, so it worked great for the cover of my book. I am going to add something else to the front cover I just don't know what I want, yet. On the back cover of the book I had a sticker that says "fairy tales do come true" and the year with sizzlets script font. I then ran both covers thru my xyron to laminate them. I "binded" the book with splitable 1" in ring from the office supply section. Then I tied several 1" pieces of ribbon (blue, white, purple) around the rings. For the pages I am using white cardstock. I plan on making 50-75 pages and taking about 20-25 into the park with me at each time. I don't want the book to be really thick, so the split rings will work great for me. I'd post a pic, but I'm at work now and don't have it with me.
