Homecoming.

Football season is here, which means....

Homecoming is only several weeks away.

How does your school usually celebrate homecoming? I bet this is weird since I'm homeschooled. haha. I do pretty much EVERYTHING that has to do with my boyfriend's school, except go to the school. Every teacher, student, parents, everyone knows who I am. Mainly because I use to go there, because of who I'm dating, and my grandfather use to be mayor.

Anyways.. They're having a homecoming dance for the first time since my mom's senior year at the school. This year the parents are doing everything themselves, homecoming, prom, Fifth Quarter, etc.. Because the principle is giving everyone hell and cracking down DRAMATICALLY on the school.

They're doing the regular football game, Gumbo dinner before the game, etc. Then the dance is from 9 to 12 after the game.

Everyone is already starting to look for homecoming dresses, and it's not until October 30. So I started looking also, through Penny's and Dillards.

I totally just fell in LOVE with this dress.

So whats your/your school's plans for Homecoming?

My school has like, a spirit week, the week before homecoming. There is a different theme each day. Then, that Friday is the game. Each grade makese a float, and we have a parade around town, and then the game.

The next day, a Saturday, we have the dance in our gym.

We don't really have one [all girls school]. The boys school next door usually hosts a Homecoming dance, and the various other boys schools around do so, too.

We have one.
it's coming up really fast too.
We have the spirit day things every friday.
Homecoming is always outclass the (whoever we're playing)
we have two choices for that.
since we have standard dress we either have a jeans day or we dress up in dress clothes for school.
then we have the game.
and the dance is always the next day at one of the local hotel ballrooms.

It's perty fun.
although i've never had a date for it.
i always just go with friends.

im a freshiiie so this year is gonna be my first home coming

for my school it's on october 27th

we have a pep rally and stuff that week & i'm not sure what else right now

the day (for me) goes like this:

- parade thing (every grade, most clubs, and the middle school makes a float)
- game (that i have to cheer at D:<)
- then go home and i only have two hours or less to get ready . fml
- pictures at whoevers house we choose
- then go to the dance

We have a week long homecoming celebration. It's a huge deal to not only the school, but the town too. A month before we have court nominations. During the first homeroom of the year, seniors can nominate each other for court. Then the week before homecoming week seniors can vote for court online. The Monday of homecoming, we have a huge pep rally to announce whose on court. That week we have dress days were everyone dresses up, even the teachers. Friday is always Red/White day for our school colors and our coronation pep rally. Saturday is the big day. We have the homecoming game and then the dance at night at the school. It's an awesome week.
However, this year, my senior year, I'm not going. Instead I'm going to see my favorite band at my favorite venue. It's going to be the best year ever! =)

There's quite a few HS's in my city but only two of them actually do homecoming. Obviously, they play against each other.

the homecoming game is October 9th and the dance is the 10th.
I just went to the school's website for that info because I had no idea.
I'm not even sure what goes on at these festivites. xD I fail so bad.

We have a parade, spirit week, dance, and they crown homecoming king and queen.
I don't really pay too much attention though, so they might be doing other things too.

My homecoming is Oct.24 from 6 or 7 to 9 or 10 (i obviously cant remember lol)! We have homecoming week that week leading up to the dance. There is a game in the morning before class and one after school and its usually stuff like a texting relay or chicken on the hill. Its pretty fun to watch but i never get involved lol! We also have to dress up for something each day like the each grade is a different batman character. Then on friday we have a huge pep assembly were the teachers do a acting skit, last year it was American Idol and its was so funny. Then we have the big game and saturday is the dance. Last year I wasnt asked by anyone but I hope to get asked by someone this year!!

We play the rival school from the other side of town on thanksgiving. Our dance is the next night.

lol I guess we have a dance, but I don't think anyone takes dates to it. If they do, I probably won't. I didn't even go last year because I was out of town. But, we have spirit week with different dress-up themed days and we have class clash. It's a bunch of random stuff that the different classes do to win I guess. I got a concussion the week before and I didn't go because I had a huge headache that night. But there's a male volleyball game, powderpuff football, jello slide, pizza eating contest, ect. I'll be in the vball game and pizza contest. I don't know who we play this year, but it's your typical homecoming game and stuff.

omg!! i love your dress!! haha. my schools homecoming is pathetic. theres no football game so we take a random soccer game and say "its the homecoming game" no food at all!! and they left the lights on half the time last year. but i go anyway i need a dress though!! ahh

We have spirit week leading up to the game, with different themes for each day. then that friday, it's the biggest spirit day of the whole year! we have a pep rally, then a parade, then the game. I'm in band so it's a hugee long day for me since we play for all 3. then saturday is the dance 7-11 i think it is normally. this year, our dance is the first weekend in Oct, so it's like a month away! i already have a date

Yeahh i'm really excited for homecoming this year. Our's is October 10th. It's pretty fun, because I'm in the band, so we march in the games the first day with the big parade & the football game that our school has, and the next day is a very cool dance in some dance hall. & I can say, I love my school

Homcoming in my school is during the last week of September. We have spirit week all that week, leading up to Friday, which is the in-school pep rally. Then that night, there's another pep rally in my schools' gym for the whole town to come to. Afterwards there's a huge bonfire, and then we all go inside to the Student Center for the dance. (the student center is the deli side of the cafeteria...so it's kind of puny, but we're a small school and they actually decorate it nicely) No one has dates to the dance, and we don't get dressed up. In freshman year I was bummed that it's not fancy, but now that I'm a senior I'm pretty used to it.
