the take out only lists the shine cake.

Agree it is really good! Got to try it last fall during The Chew taping I attended.
I now get a ressie and go in for dessert and coffee!

They have a bar and outdoor seating area that do not need reservations. These serve the full restaurant menu. So, you could have a snack and/or a drink and ask for a slice to go. I am sure they allow to go food. However, I don't think you can get it from the grab in go. You will have to order it from someone.

Or even ask the host/ess what the best thing to do would be. I doubt they're going to turn away any sort of sale, especially for something as easy as a piece of cake to go. Like @soniam said, they'll probably have you order it through the bartender to go.
