Homecomin' Take Out Dessert?

We went to Homecomin' last year for brunch and stuffed ourselves. Loved it - especially the desserts.

This year we have a short trip so the only ADR I could find was at 8:55pm which is a little late for us. I did find Morimoto for the perfect time and DH and DD will love it. But I would still like to go to Homecomin' for dessert. The system let me book both.

I keep checking every day, a couple of times a day for an earlier time but nothing yet, and I think DH really wants Morimoto but he just says to book what will make me happy.

DH and I are both in the service industry, and while we are very good tippers I still feel "wrong" about taking a table for just desserts and a couple of drinks.

Long story short (too late, I know) does anyone know if Homecomin' has a way to just order dessert to go?

So glad you asked this question! I’ve spent the last two years jonesing for the chocolate pecan pie! We will have lunch at DS (not Homecomin unfortunately) before we fly home and I’d love to get a piece of pie to eat on the plane. I did that two years ago but we actually ate at Homecomin and just had them box the piece of pie at the end of our meal. So good!

If I remember correctly they have a bar inside and at most restaurants if you walk up to the bar and ask for something to go they’ll accommodate it. Or just call hostess and ask. They pick up pretty fast there.

They used to have a to-go thing, but I don't see it on the menu anymore. I would just go to the bar and order it to go. The bar is walk-up.

I didn't remember if there was a bar area. When we went for brunch we went straight to our table and I barely noticed anything other than the food

I'll call them closer to our trip and double check I can order the dessert at the bar.

You can order any food off of the main menu at the bar. I have ordered the chicken & dumplings before.

walk up to the bar, either stay there or ask them to box up a cake for you (they'll probably serve the cake and then give you a box to put it in). They have a large bar area. You can order anything on the regular menu.
