Home2Suites vs Homewood Suites?

Has anyone stayed at both of these properties and can compare them? We are currently booked at Home2 on points. The biggest drawback there is the valet parking. However I do believe it's a little closer than Homewood Suites.

Would love your opinions?

We are loyal Hilton members and have stayed at these 2 brands often, just not these properties.

The suites (room size) and free breakfast is a must for my large family.

I have stayed at both. I know Homewood just went through a renovation.

Yes. Home2Suites is for sure closer. And yes, unfortunately they are valet only. Which is a bummer. Home2Suites and Hilton Garden Inn share the lobby, pool area, parking and restaurants. We loved the size of our room at this property. We could also see the fireworks from our room. The breakfast was great too.


When we stayed at Homewood it was before it was just renovated and they didn’t have the full hot breakfast yet due to Covid-so I cannot comment on that other than the breakfast area felt large and open. We really loved the size of our room but it was pretty beat up. I’m glad the hotel has been renovated and we are looking forward to trying it again. You can walk from this hotel or take the toy story shuttle to the parks. I remember the parking lot being pretty big.

So I just looked at the photos of the renovated rooms and it doesn’t look like a huge change. But new carpet, new window coverings, new couch and tables. The bathroom looks the same and the kitchen looks the same. It looks nice but not a drastic change. The furniture was super beat up when we stayed, so I’m happy to see that was changed out.

We haven’t stayed at Homewood since the Home2Suites opened. We absolutely love the location of Home2Suites because we can walk it easily while we always went to the Toy Story Lot for Homewood. It isn’t “a little” closer. It is a lot closer. It is about .6 miles of a walk from Home 2 Suites and almost a full mile for Homewood.
