Hi guys
The kids and I got back last night (very tired) after 3 nights at the SL.
The SL was wonderful - really happy - we got an upgrade to a Montanna room as soon as we arrived as we were supposed to be in the chalets outside but I have no idea why we received upgrade but very happy any way.
I thought the room was lovely - all you do is sleep in it in any event.
Okay get the food out of the way. We went HBP and ate Monday & Tuesday at the SL in Hunter's Grill because my 4 year old son is really fussy. Great variety of food on the salad bar, cheese & biscuits, bread, soup, main courses and desserts. Also had breakfast at SL twice and it was great. The only day we had to queue was yesterday morning and that is because we had switched our 7.30 brekkie to 9.30 as we were truly exhausted!
Wednesday night I had booked Cafe Mickey. It was amazing. The HBP vouchers covered 47 euros and the bill came to 78 euros which was very steep considering what we ate but the character interaction was worth it tbh. My kids were so happy and so was I - I hugged Mickey - it was great
Our breakfast on the Tuesday morning was in the park and that was great cause we took advantage of the EMH.
Okay, now to Disneyland Park itself - what a wonderful sight - truly amazing - I felt like a kid again and loved it

We managed to get quite a lot covered on the Monday afternoon, Phantom Manor, Thunder Mountain, Dumbo, Carousel etc.
On the Tuesday we started off in Fantasyland and got through all the rides there. Loved Peter Pan - wish it had been longer. A Small World was AWESOME! We also got over to Frontierland again and grabbed a fast pass for Thundermountain and then over to grab a Fast pass (which I had to wait for as I already had fast passes for TM) for Buzz. The kids went on the rockets over beside Buzz. Oh we managed Pirates of the Carribean on the Tuesday as well.
Wednesday I decided to spend in Walt Disney Studios as we really had covered quite a few rides. My daughter wanted to do Tower of Terror - I am pleased to say that all 3 of us managed it - would I do it again? NEVER
neither would my 9 yr old daughter but my 4 yr old son LOVED IT! We then queued for 2 hours for Crush. My daughter decided when we finally got to our shell that she couldnt go through with it so me and Ruaraidh did it ourself - it was fabulous. That upset Chloe a bit when we had finished and she really wanted to do it but I said there was no way I was queuing for 2 hours again. Decided to come back on Thursday morning to do it but it was shut due to technical issue on Thursday.
Back to Park Wednesday. We went on the tram ride, Armageddon, saw Animagique - that was AMAZING - we actually went back and watched it again on Thursday before we left
.
Cinemagic was amazing as well - really enjoyed that show. Never saw Stitch live
was annoyed at not getting over to do that.
Weather was fine. Cold Monday, Tues & Wed and the sun came out Thursday which was absolutely amazing and the whole place looked even more magical with the sun on it.
Oh and watched the Parade every single night - had to be done - I had tears of happiness in my eyes seeing the look of joy on the kids faces - BRILLIANT.
Lots of autographs for the kids and on the last day they were queuing for Minnie's and a whole load of kids pushed them out the way
I spoke to the woman who was looking after Minnie and explained they had waited patiently and were pushed and that we were leaving. She ushered us around a corner and brought Minnie round when they were leaving - Minnie signed kids' books and posed for photo.
Well that is my trip report - I hope it is okay for a first timer
Thanks for everyone here who gave me great tips - we really did have an amazing time
