How did you phrase the invites? I dont know how to make it not sound like " I invited some people to my wedding, but you can come to a party"

How far in advance did you send out invitations? Is it under the same timeline as a traditional reception?

I haven't made mine yet (since it is 9 months away) but I have received many of those invites over the year.

I think generally you just write something like "You are invited to a reception to celebrate the marriage of blahblah and blahblah".

I don't think anyone will be insulted by not being invited. I know that often I am relieved not to have to go to a ceremony!!
