Anyone have a site or recipes they use for the oven. DD 14 asked for one she had the old style, I use to use applesauce for the eggs part and oil, but lost the ratios I used....
No way am I paying for the refills. She wants to decorate, and style more so them baking. I tried to talk her into just BAKING already a real batch of healthy snacks....
No, that is not FUN!
di:rolleyes1

I'm not sure if you are only looking for healthy made from scratch recipes or if you are interested in low cost alternatives, but when I was a kid I remember using the little Jiffy mix boxes for my EZ bake oven. I believe they are about 50-60 cents a box. Hope that helps:)

I googled homemade easy bake oven recipes and found them.

I've got a few on my site. I bought a book called Baking with Mommy cookbook that has lots of recipes and ideas in it. We've also done things like Nachos and pizza - things we were having for dinner and I let dd bake some in her EBO.

Thanks for the info and help! I will check your site out!

The reason I did not go with the Google results, I did not want to waste any supplies on things that taste horrible. Been there done that.
Any one can Google, it is separating the good from the bad information Dis has always come through with.

I prefer the tried and gold seal of approval of DISers. I trust a DISer forum member over the computer generic results.

14 year olds still use EZ Bake Ovens?

My 6 year old wants one but I thought it would be kind of a waste of money.

I remember using mine when i was 12, but I loved the thing and actually liked how the cakes tasted lol

You could try sending a PM to DMRick - or just post this on the CB.. She mentioned in another thread over there that she wrote an Easy Bake Oven cookbook..

I did..and sold many of them at craft fairs. All of the recipes are available on the internet. Print them out and take them to Staples and they can put together a book for you. Or..
Do you have MS Publisher? If so, OP only, PM me.

Oh gosh thanks I will PM I have Publisher. What a great gift for her.

At 14 she is a budding Baker'; No at 2 1/2 she was a budding baker, making Tookies.....
SHe has an anxiety/panic disorder and the small scale of the mini oven must not seem as intimadating. I am just glad she is doing something hands on. We had to go to Cyber charter school, she became school phobic from bullying.

The new oven was a $16 investment at Kmart. If she wants to sit and concoct up a single serve and be happy, I am happy.

When she is 16 maybe she will move up to big time baking. I have a bread maker and would love to see her start to create items to make in that.

I also bought a Ginger Bread house pre baked for her to put together this weekend. IT is a train from Bed Bath and Beyond, I hope that she has fun. My dil and grandson will love helping too.

I gave my niece an E-Z Bake oven last year for Christmas. I googled for recipes, there are many, and made her a cookbook to go along with it. She loved it.

There are a ton of great recipes on line..so maybe the op can add those to what I sent. Hope your daughter enjoys her gift!

I love the idea of making an ez bake cookbook. I need a few more gifts for my DD and she would love that.

OP- I think your DD might really like using the bread maker. Especially for things she could be "hands-on" with like pizza crust, hot pretzels or bagels. Things she could make and you could bake for her until she is ready to use the regular oven.
