I've also posted this on the Breast Cancer Survivors thread, so don't read this if you've already read over there.

Thank GOD it is over.

I think the "double" biopsy went well. I seemed to be the surgeon's first (and maybe only "job" today--which kind of freaked me out). We got started right on time at 9:30. I was such a wreck. My pulse was at 125 and my BP was up to 130/80. Nurse asked if I "always had a high pulse." DUH--only when I'm having surgery.

Anyway, doctor felt the lumps again==smirked yet again at the radiology report. I finally got my Versed cocktail and was out. When I came to, I was shivering so badly. At first they thought I was cold but they couldn't get me to stop shivering. Finally the nurse said that this is actually kind of common and that a shot of Demerol would help. I did take this and it did help.

I will say that last year, after the breast biopsy, I seemed to have no adverse reaction to the anesthesia (no shakes). Today, I'm kind of queasy off and on. Could be the Demerol maybe?

Okay--after surgery in my fog, the surgeon said that the right breast contained what he thought was an "unresolved hematoma." Kind of what I suspected. In the left breast, where they found a new solid mass, he is still describing this as some type of scar tissue from my old surgery. Not so sure yet if I'm "buying" his assurance yet, but I guess he didn't have to say that. He could have said, "yes, we found a solid cyst or mass." So, I wait until next week for the results.

But I'm thrilled to have this over with. Thanks for listening to me over the last few days!

I'm glad to hear it's over for you. I hope you have a speedy recovery and yes the demerol does make you queasy.

I'm glad you got through it ok, how scary. Gotta love that Demerol, good stuff! Now try to relax for the holiday and next week will be next week. Try not to worry, sounds encouraging to me.

I'm glad it's over for you. Thinking good thoughts for you that you'll have good results. Enjoy your Thanksgiving! :flower:

Like another poster said, it does sound encouraging. :grouphug: :grouphug: to you. I'm sure you're glad that part is over. Now you just need to relax and enjoy your Thanksgiving. I know it's easier said than done. You'll be in my prayers and good thoughts. :)

:goodvibes Good to hear that it is over. :sunny: Just try to

Sounds like it went as well as can be expected. Try not to worry too much!

So glad it went well. I had the shaking thing after one of my surgeries at well. Not a pleasant feeling. Have a nice holiday and try not to worry!

So glad everything went well! I was thinking of you tonight and wondering how it went.

Linda

Get well soon! Keep us all posted. I had the shakes after surgery, and so did dh. It's normal. Oh, and demerol not only makes me vomit, but I start to go crazy. I tried ripping my i.v. out and tried to get out of the hospitol bed while I will in the throws of labor. I had a bad reaction to demerol. If you still feel queezy, call the doctor and see if there is something else they can give. :grouphug:

I hope you feel better soon. I had a double biopsy a few weeks ago. I was so cold (shaking) after surgery I do not know if it was the same as you, but boy I could not get warm for hours after. :grouphug: to you.
