we got back from our first trip to dlp early hours friday and my eldest daughter cried when we got back as she missed disneyland!!!!

We went on eurostar which i thought was great for convenience and quite exciting for DDs. Found it quite tiring on way home though as you get back into st pancras at 9:15 and then we had to get a train home to sheffield another 3 hours. So might be worth another hotel stay in london on way home if you live quite a way from london.

We stayed in the Santa fe and loved it our room was lovely spacious and clean and staff were great, breakfast could be a scrum but the kids loved waiting to see what character would be in reception each morning. We had minnie, mickey, donald, pluto and goofy!!

We arrived at 1:30 sunday and spent sunday monday and tuesday doing disneyland parc. Wednesday we did the studios and then thursday it was my daughters 6th birthday so she made a list of her top ten things and we went back and did those before we went home.

Food i expected mainly junk food but was surprised to find that probably 90% was burgers/chips/pizza etc so my youngest lived on chicken nuggets for 5 days!! and eldest on pizza. We ate at annettes and thought it was ok for food, service was great but wednesday night we did a birthday tea as we would be travelling home thursday on her birthday and we ate at The Rainforest Cafe and it was by far hands down the best meal we had.

Pushchair im so glad decided not to rent as they looked horrible and very uncomfortable. We bought a second hand mamas and papas nipi off ebay for £35 delivered ( bout 5-10 pound more than rental for 5 days!) it was in great condition and it reclined which was great, and also suprisingly big enough to fit my 6 yr old in when she got tired too!!

Will definitely be going back at sometime as and christmas as and when funds let us, christmas at dlp is amazing!!!!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Welcome back! :goodvibes Sounds like you had a great Christmas Trip! :santa:

IKWYM about Eurostar, great for getting there but exhausting on the way back - especially if you end up delayed for 2 hours!! :scared1:

Welcome back :wave2: glad you had a great time.

I agree about the Eurostar ~ it's wonderful for going out but not so great for coming home so next trip we're trying a new way ~ Eurostar out and flying home. :rotfl:

Glad you had a great time....sounds like the first of many trips, it's amazing how many ways you can find to save money so that you can go back (we live for Tesco Vouchers and airmiles!!!)

Glad you enjoyed your trip.

We are doing the same journey in 2 weeks, getting the Sheffield train to St Pancras going to visit Santa at Harrods, staying overnight then Eurostar the next morning. On the way back we are doing it all in one go and not staying overnight, we will just want to get back to our own beds.

How busy was the train coming back, we have only booked 2 seats as our 2 girls are under 5, we were hoping that it would be quietish.
