Has anyone ever scrapbooked using the Mickey Heads from Home Depot? How did you use them?

I just got a bunch and wanted some ideas!

Thanks!

I don't have a picture, but I pulled the head off the backing and put it underneath a piece of vellum that my journaling was on. It's very understated.

I don't have a picture either, but I used them as the marker for the beginning of each new day and wrote the name/date on them. I'm pretty new to scrapbooking, and it's a lot of fun to see how creative everyone is! I've got a long way to go;)

I just used some on a card for my dad. I cut off the extra and then placed a letter in each one. I used my sizzix lollipop dies but letter stickers or rub-ons would work too.

My mom thought I had cut each one out and was amazed that I was that good! lol! I did tell her my secret though and she laughed!

How do you remove the heads from the backing without tearing them?? I haven't been successful so I'm contemplating cutting them out. Any hints??

I've always had to cut mine out.

Used one yesterday, too. Had pictures from The Laughing Place (near Splash Mountain) and when I looked at this one picture, there was a kid peeking out at me... and he wasn't mine... ROFL!! So I covered him up with a Mickey head!! ;)

I just carefully pulled it off. I wasn't worried about it being rumpled because it was going to be underneath vellum. All that's holding it there is a layer of glue, so you may be able to steam it and pull it off easier (much like steaming an envelope open).

Someone suggested to microwave them for a few seconds and they pull right apart. Haven't been able to find any to test it on.

Some one else said they soaked it in water and it pulled off. I haven't tried that one yet either.

I pulled mine off the card and used a Mickey punch on it.

As for taking them off the cards, I read a suggestion about leaving them in the hot car for a while and they're easier to peel off. Haven't tried it yet.

I soak them in hot water for a few minutes and the paint chip pulls right off the paper. The only problem with this is they curl up so I place them on paper towels and put them in between the pages of the phone book for a while. They flatten out enough to use but will curl again if not covered with something.
If you want them to lie flat just peel them off the paper. You might rip them but they don't cost anything but the gas to get to the store again. Just grab enough. Peggie
