If I own 160pts at SSR and buy a 50pt add-on at another resort (say BLT...), would I be able to make reservations 11 months ahead at both? Or would there be some type of limitation based on how many points I own at each?
Actually,
depending on the precise wording of the question, the answer to this may be
YES.
If the question is whether you can
combine home resort and non-home resort points in the 11-month window, the answer is nice try...but NO.
However, if the question is whether you can use the 11-month window at multiple home resorts in the same time period, the answer is YES.
If you owned 160 pts at SSR, you could make a ressie at SSR using those 160 points, but none of the other resort points.
If you owned 50 points at another resort, you could make a different ressie there using those 50 points, but none of the SSR points. Keep in mind, however, that with banking and borrowing, you could use 150 points at that resort every third year.
There is nothing at all in the rules to prevent you from having multiple 11-month ressies. Many of us do that all the time. You just can't use points from anywhere except the resort where you're making 11-month ressies.
At seven months, you can combine points from different resorts and book anywhere there is availability.
