Home alone for the first time

Since my heart attack. I have to say I'm a little nervous about being alone. I know the chances are slim to none about anything happening but I'm still a little anxious.

If you've been through this before, how did you overcome it? Were you a bit nervous your first time or am I just "out there".

While I have not my father had bypass and I still remember the day we left him alone for the first time. We were worried about it for sure! He did fine and is now back to his normal active self, doing more than he should! I hope you can relax a little today. Try to enjoy the quiet after going through so much!

I don't have any experience, but I think it's perfectly normal to feel nervous under the circumstances.

I really don't have any advice, just to do something which relaxes you and takes you mind off being alone. Just get today over with, I'm sure it will get easier later on.

Hi, hope all is well.

I am home alone also, but not in the same boat as yourself. ..

I am VERY excited for this time alone ..

I have about 20 minutes till football practice ends, and the MUCK comes prancing in my clean house

I did work today (provincial holiday here) and got paid 2.5 times my hourly rate for the day.. And THAT makes me ...

Also trying to plan a 4 day getaway to Vegas, and hubby thinks I am a little off for wanting to bring the kids. I think they will have fun, and really we do not have any other option but bringing them.

I'm about to be alone no more. My DH called his mother so she is now coming for a visit. I was doing good too. I appreciate her coming, thats nice of her and all but I really was doing good and kinda looking forward to enjoying the quietness.
Plus my brother called and wants me to book him a Disney trip so that would have kept me busy too.

Pain is at night, but that is when I take the narcotic..

I work 3 days a week, so I have done 2 in a row, and it was a challenge, but now I am off for 2, and I am AHEAD of myself in my housework.

Hope the weather cooperates..

My incident was so long ago (1992) that I don't recall how I got over the anxious feeling of being alone the first time but I do remember feeling how you are now...you're not "out there" and I think this feeling is normal for anyone that had a scare like you did.
