Well we are back from our quick week trip to WDW.

Crowds: It was presidents day week and it was crowded (Tuoring plans rated it 10s all week and I believe it!) however it was perfectly manageable if you got to the parks at rope drop and utilised fast pass - we rode everything we wanted with the exception of RnR which was down for over an hour the morning we were there and as we had to use rider swap was just going to take to long so we decided to skip it!

Parks: MK is a mass of scrims and construction and not just Fantasyland - it is everywhere. Didn't spoil our enjoyment but something to be aware of if you are travelling in the next few months. Other parks were Ok but Epcot may be an issue for crowds once TT is down as it was down the morning I was there and the queue for Soarin was all the way back to Living with the Land 30 mins after park opening :scared1:

Resort: We stayed at OKW which I have completely fallen in love with. We have decided we will alternate between there and BLT. I love the atmosphere and feel of the resort and the rooms felt so homely. Housekeeping was satisfactory most days but could tell when the usual house keeper was off and the fill in was fantastic!

DDP: We had the 40% off & free DDP and it reminded us why we don't do the DDP anymore! As it was free it wasn't a problem but we came home with 7 CS credits and 3 snacks left. Used our last TS for lunch before leaving for the airport at LTT.
Had good meals at LeCellier, LTT and Tusker Breakfast. Food was good at both Chef Mickeys & CP breakfasts however characters were rushed at CM & we didn't see all the characters at CP.

Tickets: Upgraded the 7 day premium in to DVC APs for $44 each (adult passes as DD has hers from October still) however tried at DHS and ended up doing it at the MK GS outside the park - I am going to post a full thread on this as I spent some time chatting to the CM and he was super helpful :thumbsup2

Weather: Mostly great - one evening we had a summer style storm for a couple of hours but other than that every day was shorts weather & DD swam twice.

Overall had a fantastic time and can not wait to go back in 4 months :yay:

Welcome home, looking forward to the 7 day ticket to AP post as we're going the same route although not DVC.

sounds lovely!!

interesting about the ticket CMs -
we upgraded our tickets to APs at the MK guest services too...the CM there was excellent... i would definitely recommend doing any sort of ticket related things at that guest services..

has TT already closed down for the retheming? or is that later in the year?

No, TT was just down that morning for over an hour. April is the rumoured closing date.
