My husband and I visited Wednesday- Saturday of last week and it was damn near as hot at Disneyworld in August! Maybe a little less humid, but HOT HOT HOT!

We spent much of the late afternoon in the room relaxing for a couple of hours and then high tailed it to Trader Sams at night.

How did the rest of you survive?

Jennifer

I'm local, with an AP and typically I visit the parks every Friday but I knew with the heat and the crowds there was no way I would have a good time. I stayed at home with the AC blasting and just worked on my costume for MNSSHP. It's suppose to be cooler this week so I'll most likely go.

Yeah, everyone was saying that it was pretty atypical weather even for August.

And you are right, the crowds were terrible. It was all doable if you were there for rope drop, however.

We have APs and were up for the Expo all weekend. We got there Thursday afternoon around 4, went to DCA and did Frozen Sing-a-long, Aladdin, a few shops, and anything else inside we could think of until it got dark. We had a reservation for Carnation at 8:20, walked out onto Main Street just in time to see the fireworks then did the second parade. The rest of the weekend we tried to stay in the convention center until dark and then went to the parks for dinner and night time stuff. It was definitely boiling out.

Ugh this is what I'm worried about for our trip come this Saturday! Coming down from Seattle so we don't do hot and humid lol. Although we've had an unusually hot summer, several days over 90, I stay in my a/c house during that!

The current forecast for Saturday in Anaheim is 82. It will be warm, but not downright hot. Also, humidity in California is very mild. It might feel humid to some, but it's nothing like Florida humidity. It's more like a dry heat where you can get relief by getting out of the sun. Just take it slow and stay hydrated and you should be fine.

Yeah the 82 doesn't worry me but the other days have been bouncing around 88-92. I think we can manage mid 80s. Last Oct it was low 90s, I didn't hydrate enough and almost passed out. It was a horrible feeling, CMs were very helpful in getting me water and I felt great within 20-30 min, lesson learned there!!!

Yes it was very hot last weekend! My wife works at DTD and their store's AC wasn't working very well so it was a very long work day for her.

Saturday was 100 and Friday and Sunday were 99. The humidity has also dropped a lot in the last two days and should only be in the 40s for the weekend. Much more manageable.

What's different about the heat in DL- you can go in the shade & cool off. At WDW it's hot everywhere! ( We were there end of July & it was 90 but nothing like 90 in WDW!)

We were there from Wednesday to Sunday, and I agree it was HOT! We were there at rope drop everyday, and then left from 1ish to 5ish and rested at our hotel. We also had cooling towels, went on water rides around 12, and strategically pulled fast passes to minimize the time in the sun. It was hot, but we managed it all pretty well. We never waited more than 30 minutes for any ride and averaged more around 15 minutes. The nights were very comfortable...never needed a jacket.

As a WDW veteran I have to say, paper fast passes really helped minimize the lines, but unlike the lines for things in WDW, many of the lines for the E-ticket rides are right out in the blazing sun. (I am talkin' bout you, IASW, thunder mountain, pirates, mr toad....) That makes it twice as bad when it is super hot out.

Yeah, the humidity was bad. We were there Sunday-Tuesday, highs of 83, but felt like 103 with humidity, and it was overcast until 11-11:30 every day. Sun came out on Wednesday when we left, it was great for photos, but I imagine it would have been a 3 shower day for me.

I hear ya! We were here for the weekend and my Seattle kids just couldn't handle the heat, so we spent our afternoons by the poolside. ;)

It is definitely getting a lot less hot now. Last night was actually a bit chilly. So I think you guys should be good for Saturday! ;)

Bring a handheld fan though if you can. It was a lifesaver for this pregnant mama and her little ones at the parks. ;)

Yep weather has been finally cooling off at night, supposed to be in the low 80s for a high this weekend and upper 60's at night. Yay for not having to run my A/C all day/night.
