Anyone been to the holy land experience? My oldest really wants to go next xmas.

It must be quite a Revalation to go there and experience the Genesis of the Exodous from Egypt and find the John and maybe a Corinthian or two. :rotfl:

If you like it, could you post back here. I've been seeing it on TBN for so long and I'm thinking it might be nice to check it out the next time I'm down there. I can imagine it's beautiful at Christmas.

I will try to remember this thread after xmas ;) Hopefully someone else has gone or goes before then.

just checking to see if anyone has gone recently.

I watched something on TV about it around 4 years ago. I think it is appropriate for an older child, but might be a little scary for a younger child. They do show Jesus dying on the cross. Some of the kids watching were a little scared. The guy who played Jesus did a great job. It looked pretty real, on TV anyway.
I think looking for video on youtube might be a good way to go, or has anyone at your church been? I never new that the Holy Land experience existed till I saw it on TV.

Good plan, I watched a few videos from their website but not you tube.

A friend of mine visited this over the summer and he was disappointed with it. He said everything was just a little too serious and lacked polish. He said people did not even have smiles on there face. The one thing he did say is that maybe during xmas it would feel like it fits in better.
