If you've been, how old do you recommend first bringing your child and them enjoying it?:worship:

I've never even heard of it, but honestly, compared to Disney (or even Universal or Seaworld) I can't imagine how it could be worth your time.

Now, we did go to Wonderworks last year, and that was a lot of fun (for a day to stay out of the sun). Two-story rope course, lots of things to explore.

That's the only "local" type thing we've done. I don't know, but if you're really "into" the bible maybe you may find something entertaining? Just doesn't sound appealing to well, me, (and I am a Christian but still sounds weird).

Do you mean Holy Land Experience? I've never been, but I know people who have. They enjoyed it. They don't have kids, nor do I, so I can't help you with that.

Edit: the couple I mentioned were skeptical going in, but they thought it was very well done/presented.

Yes, Holy Land. Thank you for the clarification! I know people who have brought their kids who were 8 and older and the kids understood it and enjoyed it but don't think my daughter would understand it at 4 and it might be a bit boring for her. Just thought I'd ask. I do however plan on bringing her at some point in her life

We haven't been either, but I've always wanted to go.

I just wanted to say you may want to change your title. That might help you get more accurate feedback. If you don't know how, choose "go advanced" after you press edit. FWIW, I think it's actually called The Holy Land Experience. I hope you get more replies. :)

Holy Land is a really nice place. However, it is a place you only attend once. There arent any rides but it is a little different from the other theme parks. I have also found that the park is better if they have the background knowledge.

When i went with friends they knew almost nothing about it. It was hard answering all the questions.

Have Fun!

We visited the Holy Land Experience in '09 with our twin 5 year olds. I would not recommend it for young kids. I ended up leaving with them and letting my husband enjoy it by the afternoon. I found that after going through the kids area, which took very little time, it was just too much "be still, be quiet, don't touch that" for little kids. I thought it was nice and now that they are a few years older I might take them back. Hope that helps:)

Thank you for showing me how to edit! Yes everyone, sorry for the confusion. Its the holy land experience. I think we will wait until my daughter understand a bit more. Maybe around 10 year old

We went there in January. We only stayed a half day. Saw one show which was not bad, it was a patriotic show. For us, it wasn't worth the money, but I was glad to do it once.

I havent been there, but my mom has. She says that it depends on the child. I know families that have taken children as young as 6, but they grew up going to church, hearing the stories, seeing movies, and knowing what to expect.
She also added that the most intense aspect occurs at the end of the day, so you can experience other aspects of the place.
I know this wasn't too much info, but I hope it helps.

We're going in Sept. with our 4- DS12, DD10, DS9. DS7. My Dad really wants to go. (My Dad actually wishes that we were skipping Disney World and going to Israel!)I think it'll be a nice break from the normal theme park atmosphere.
