I hear ya!! We were looking at spring break, everything is between $500.00-$700.00. No way. While I know it might go down yet, we decided to just drive and go at Xmas, when we will have more time with the kid's Xmas break. My DD and I hate driving, but my DH and DS prefer it.

Don't even get me started on Christmas! My DH has a $400 voucher on Delta and it is STILL ugly. We may have to fly out of MKE or Chicago.

You might want to check your school's calendar. Since Republicans went after the teacher's unions there is no longer a teacher's convention and many districts revised their calendars. If they have not changed it this year, then this will be the last year kids have those days off.

I checked before I started thinking about it. They're off half day Wednesday and all day Thursday and Friday.
